gm nostr curious people
just finished this series on indexedDB https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gb5ovg7YCig so I can transition alphaama from localStorage. I recommend it to anyone learning indexedDB, very well explained.
Not sure what self-hosted cdns there are that are good, but you'd need a decent server if you ever want to serve video files (maybe nowadays this is more of a non issue). I use cloudinary to host my media files I post on nostr, they have a free plan and API that I want to implement in alphaama to do exactly that
the sands from the african desert reaches the amazon, but yeah, they're common in southern Europe. Are you enjoying Portugal?
anti-spam/asshole will come organically as client devs get suficiently annoyed by it to tackle the issue
the difference is in pow, the network doesn't care who has the most coins. In pos it's the opposite.
`hex_value.replace(/^0*([1-9a-f][0-9a-f]{5}).*$/, (m, p1) => p1)`
with cameri's solution, you can only get a full black hex color if the pubkey is all zeroes...
don't you want to use cameri's solution? I get it that it's easier to use the last, but if suddenly there's pow on the last chars instead of the first, we're back at the same problem.. so excluding leading zeroes from the beginning and using that for hex is more resilient in giving you not so dark colors.. would be good to have a common simple ground on the colors because they're really good to recognise a pubkey. the more it works across different apps the better..
I'm sure the problem is more because of my code than Safari itself, but it's a pain to debug...
at the same time, it's also refreshing to introduce the fact that nostr can also be used anonymously and keypairs can be discarded. both options are valid.
I need to set one of these too, to have redundancy for my content and running different systems for maximum consistency.
hey twitter, dinner is served!
I also like when people cut their nails in the subway. Classy as fuck
