Technological optimism in current dark age.

I love how some of them complain about spam but any trending topic on Twitter slightly related to finance is flooded with shitcoin bot spam.

Nice thing is you can get a shell into the new environment and do local modifications. At least is as simple as running “transactional-update shell”. I have no idea how to do this on Silverblue.

Back in my school days the teachers would makes us vote for referendum since we were 15+ years old and able to vote. They would just say what to vote without any explanations.

I clearly remember voting for banning guns and against some kind of trade agreement with the US. All through the ideologic manipulations of history and geography teachers.

Umineko is some kind of forgotten early 2000s deep iceberg weeb shit that only people who managed to read hours and hours into the story talk about. It deserves a chance (read like: Ufotable release).

Also the containers are giant because Torch. Don’t bother trying to pull from my registry. The connection is limited.

Its definitely more achievable today as there is a wider range of software and support for more hardware, like Apple and AMD.

If you are like me and don’t want to help Jensen Huang buy more leather jackets I’ve wrote some docker files that you can use to run popular AGI software on AMD hardware.

If you are using a fairly recent version of Linux you don’t need to install any proprietary drivers as everything is already baked into the kernel. The base kernel on the last Ubuntu LTS for example is good enough. ROCM is a runtime not a driver.

These are made to run with rootless podman containers. I’m not sure about Docker but it should work. Who the hell uses vanilla Docker in 2023 anyway?

These are:

- standard ROCm versions 5.2 and 5.4

- ROCm versions 5.2 and 5.4

- ROCm plus ROCm-enabled Torch (good starting point for A1111)

- ROCm plus experimental ROCm-enabled KoboldCPP (from https://github.com/SlyEcho/llama.cpp.git)

- ROCm plus experimental ROCM-enabled LLAMA.CPP (from https://github.com/YellowRoseCx/koboldcpp-rocm)

GGML on ROCm is very experimental and might explode on your face and burn holes on your carpet (kidding it works but sometimes the bot go insane).

You need to be on the same group that owns /dev/kfd and /dev/dri which normally is render.

I don’t think this works on APUs. AMD says it should but I’ve never managed to get satisfactory results. Might be a skill issue on my side.

Some variables might be necessary like HSA_OVERRIDE_GFX_VERSION or HIP_VISIBLE_DEVICES. I won’t help you here. Have fun.

The internet isn’t a parasite. The internet is host to the parasite of big tech sponsored ad driven incentives.

Have fun with braindead Google support.

Bad bot. Whoever released this on the wild should at least sanitize the GPT-4 plus Zuck induced corpocrap speech. nostr:note1p8jgr98wuxu5ehymttq0v98c2kqucz3h0yafhq9rjys428csxdqq4mr7z8

Europe energy prices will never go back to an acceptable level. Even if all the crisis are resolved the stupid ESG narrative will ensure you only use what is approved by the social democrat think tank.

Even countries which have abundant energy resources like Poland are being kept from using it. Which is funny considering countries like China don’t give a fuck.

You will never lead a comfortable life with simple things like AC and a powerful computer like they do on the other side of the pound.

Things change a lot. For art look for wathever is hot on civitai.com that matches the style you want. For LLMs follow https://huggingface.co/TheBloke doing god’s work on converting every popular model for every possible format. Zuck’s Llama-2 is what’s hot nowadays but people are having a hard time to uncensor it since its very heavily corporate BS biased.

Unpopular opinion: Safari on iOS is what is keeping “{best viewed, only works} on Chrome” from happening in current year.
