Technological optimism in current dark age.

- alternative culture is born or aglomerate around internet hub

- hub tries to monetize its audience, rightly so for sustainability of the platform. Server costs, management, moderation etc etc.

- it takes just a few years for hub to become a corporation full of clueless corpos who have no idea about the initial culture and core audience.

- hub is bleached beyond recognition because corpos are scared of anything that is slightly controversial - including the original culture hub was about. "We need those ESG and DEI labels to attract investors!”

The current term for this is "enshitification" right?

- hub dies, culture might disperse, corpos get their golden parachute and latches into the next big project being the parasites they are.

It's the story of the internet. Reddit, DA, you can think go a lot of examples. It WILL happen with big Mastodon instances.

If you think about it you gotta give credit for 4chan keeping a big chunk of its soul, rather you like the site contents and its users or not.

It’s not free. You can be damn sure they are using all interactions with their service for machine learning and general data collection.

Holy fucking shit it fucking builds. There is no CGO dependency. I’m sure as hell building the weirdest Bitcoin node in the face of the earth.

And today we have Pippa the Rippa. We need to go back.

With the zap thing it could open a competition against pixiv and stuff sans the Mastercard censoring. A shame artists are not yet into value4value. It’s barely starting with podcasting now.

Happy Mother’s Day.

Every video on YouTube has like lots of Spanish comments sending greetings from Mexico and their live videos are often in Mexico. It’s like Manowar and Albania lol

Mexican friendos why are goth rock bands like Lacrimosa and Tiamat are so popular over there?

Life is too short to waste time reading the inane ramblings of cancel pigs. Not even Orange Reddit seems to be keen on discussing about that.
