I’m trying to understand why some appear to trust a Jade or Seed Signer air-gapped using a seed QR more than an air-gapped ColdCard, which stores the private keys in a secure element.

It seems to me that an adversary trying to get the private key would potentially have an easier time getting a view of the seed QR than extracting it from a secure element.

I realize this is probably an apples to oranges comparison but what could I be missing in favor of seed QRs in terms of security? #asknostr

In both cases ideally, you would still have a human-readable backup of your keys.

With a ColdCard you are trusting "source viewable" but not Open Source software.

With a seedsigner you are trusting open source software, and you can buy the general purpose components to create without putting your contact info on a list showing you bought Bitcoin related stuff. Better OPSEC.

Man, I'm tired. Pneumonia has beat me down. I'm hitting day 8. I'm feeling a lot better. I've coughed up blood 2 days in a row and I'm exhausted. I'm also pretty grumpy cuz I'm fed up with this crap.

Almost back to fight and strength though. Hopefully tomorrow or Sunday. I want to actually be in a good mood and spend some time with my wife and kids. I also need to get back to work.

Luckily my fevers have been gone for a couple of days. So today I made some beef stew. Canned four quarts of beef stew. Made some beef bone up stock and canned eight pints of it. All in all a decent day

Time to kick back and watch bandidos with my wife. Drink some iced tea and then get some sleep.

LOL 🤪He is a conundrum. Since we are a mixed marriage, I see the good in Android, and understand the benefits. But I enjoy many things about my iOS. The only interventional saving grace, is he got me on #nostr, where fell in love. Then, he used me to work out the kinks before he got Nostr’d up.

Hello, #noderunner. I have a wallet question:

I recently discovered that somehow my android #BlueWallet decided to revert from my node to instead connect with the app's default nodes.

Tried reconnecting to electrs on #Start9 multiple times to no avail.

Anybody know what I should do now? I run a node and want to use it! Any alternative wallet recommendations?
