I generally see insurance as a gamble someone doesn't want to win. But if you do you're glad you had it.

Deciding if there is value to have it depends on risk and toleration to consequences.

For Bash tutorials, tip, and tricks this is a good YouTube channel.

The latest is debacle of the delayed fall economic update. It was to be released and was released on Monday, but that was after the Finance Minister (also Deputy Prime Minister) resigned from cabinet Monday morning in a somewhat fiery way citing diferences. It is frankly had to summarize, because that is just on top of all the other disfunction. Also update included deficit was 61.9B after promising not to pass 40.1B.

It's just adding to their decline. We had continued to get many bills by mail, but those just got switched to email because of this. Now I rely on them even less. 🤦‍♂️

I'm interested to see what further filter options can be put in the hands of users.

Ideas:

- DVM filters

- filter on profile meta data

- regex for filtering criteria not just words/phrases

- WoT filters

- combination of the above

- include and exclude filter criteria

How much goes in the clients and how much in the relays. The best versatility is to have capabilities in both. The relay helps prevent the client from having to download so much. Maybe the client can submit a filter for the relay to apply... is there a NIP for that? If clients submitted filters relays may be able to use that to inform what it filters to storage.

What's new with these current ones is that they keep generating new keys so a simple npub block is insufficient. I have been unable to identify a good criteria that help block future events.

I'm excited to see how this is tackled in the community. It will make Nostr more robust.

A great read. Learned more about Gnosticism. It's weirder than I thought. Irenaeus provided a well reasoned defense of scripture and the gospel. In particular I enjoyed/remember the example of rearranging words/sentences out of Homer's works to say something other than what it says.

I have one of these running OpenWRT.

Though I guess it depends what you consider better. I liked that this one was supported with 802.11ax among cpu, wifi chip set, ram, and flash.
