Here we are—December 1, 2024. What a year it has been.

The year began with hope and optimism, a sense of "This is my year!" ringing in my mind.

But how did it go? What did you accomplish? What challenges did you overcome? And, perhaps more importantly, where did you stumble?

Every year has its share of highs and lows, and each seems to pass by more quickly than the one before. Some of us endure the relentless "passage" of time, while others eagerly anticipate the return of a "greatness" they’ve been waiting for. But the truth remains: time never stands still.

Whether you’re looking forward to becoming more successful, active, healthy, and prosperous, or if you find yourself sinking into doubt, fearing that better days won’t come, remember this—time marches on.

This past week for me was full of family, activity, goal-setting, and moments of relaxation. The month ahead promises to hold much of the same.

Yet, December often brings stark contrasts. For some, it’s a season of joy and connection; for others, it’s a time of struggle and hardship. It wouldn’t be fair for me to simply rally everyone with a generic "Let’s finish strong!" when many have already given all they had to give.

So today, on this first day of December, I leave you with this simple message:

Just Breathe.

If you can do nothing else, just breathe.

Take a deep breath and truly notice what’s around you. What smells good? What smells unpleasant? Allow yourself to explore this sense fully. Move to a different space if you need to and, again, just breathe.

Remember the places that smell good—places that fill you with peace or energy. Make a point to return to them when you need a positive boost. And don’t shy away from the places that smell less inviting. Instead, see them as an opportunity. What’s wrong? What can be fixed or resolved to make those spaces more welcoming?

So, this week, I invite you to join me in this task: Just Breathe. Let this simple act be your anchor as we navigate the final stretch of the year.

Before the morning of Thanksgiving, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the many blessings I’ve received in 2024.

First and foremost, I am deeply thankful for my wife, Tracey. For 35 years, she has shown me the love of a saint and a patience unmatched, standing by a bumbling, stumbling, often overzealous man like me. She is my rock, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have her in my life.

Next, I want to express my gratitude for my mothers—my own mom, Angie, and my mother-in-law, Donna. Though they’re both aging, they continue to live life to the fullest and support me in all my endeavors.

I’m also thankful for my sisters and their families. We’ve faced challenges together this year, and no matter what trials come our way, we always manage to persevere.

To my friends, followers, customers, and supporters—you’ve all been essential to my journey and my sanity. Your encouragement and presence mean the world to me.

This year brought the incredible opportunity to launch two podcasts with my Nomad buddies. I’ve been fortunate to meet some truly fascinating people and travel to connect with these amazing friends. What a time we’ve had!

I’m especially grateful for the guests who joined our podcast, giving their time and energy to help make it a success. Every one of them has been a blessing.

Throughout the year, we’ve laughed, cried, gained, and lost. But we’ve also reaped the harvest of our efforts and now celebrate the bounty of those blessings.

As we move into this season of gratitude, my prayer for you is to enjoy a memorable Thanksgiving. Celebrate the blessings that have rained upon you, and let go of the chaff as we prepare for what’s ahead.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, and may many blessings come your way.

PRESIDENT TRUMP! GET YOUR ASS TO WORK!!!

Okay, okay…

The teasing is over, and yes, I voted for the “Orange Man Bad” guy—out of spite for the continued rhetoric, lies, and hatred people claim that we independent conservative voters have (and judging by some of the meltdown posts on social media...that's a hoot).

The reality is that sometimes you need to step back to move forward, and the plan I see with President Trump provides that step back.

We will see record unemployment, and the people affected will be those who work in useless government bureaucracies and wasteful departments.

We will see mass deportations of those who crossed our borders illegally, and rightly so. Immigrants (not migrants—look up the term) are using resources better allocated to our homeless veterans, families, and American citizens first. Those who are here only to receive undeserved benefits without a path toward success should be deported.

The economy (which is not the stock market) is in shambles. Inflation has its grip on our nation because of the failure to use basic budgetary practices. We’re in for a bumpy ride, and if handled correctly, our children and their children will reap the benefits of our sacrifices to bring our economy back to a strong, vibrant, production-based system. It will take our sacrifices, and many who haven't prepared with basic economics 101 will suffer. Sorry, that’s reality.

We must pull back on the out-of-control push for alternative energy sources. We, the American people, need to understand that we lead the world in efforts to bring about this technology, but we’re expecting speedy miracles for a complex problem. This rush could damage our planet worse than sticking with fossil fuels altogether. Though we’re on the road to realizing these technologies, we need to examine the overall impact of these decisions.

Unfortunately, we will likely be going to war. This is the reward for being completely irresponsible with our foreign policy and our nation-building fantasies. Our nation should be one of peace, but not at the cost of proxy wars and police actions.

And finally, there’s the social, “woke,” racism issue propagated by all parties, insisting that we all hate each other and continuing to use it as a political tool. I’m not sure any side will be able to overcome the damage the media has caused with this division as their primary tool to keep us clicking.

Today is a step in the right direction, backward!

Back to move forward.

President Trump, and to every single president I’ve addressed since my profile has been active (look back at my history):

Get your ass to work. Represent the American people. Uphold the Office as the Commander in Chief of this great nation, and keep your promises
