FIRE eventually led me to Bitcoin. A lot of soulless work in the world. I would agree that we're not made to be idle, but I don't think we're made to endlessly work to pay off debt for things we don't need either.

FIRE is as much about fiscal responsibility as early retirement. Its a net positive IMO, but not an ideal endpoint. Its a transition from from NPC world to a lower time preference. If you've never been stuck in the rat race then you probably won't see that.

If that's the case for you then you're ahead of most people which is awesome, just understand that you're not going to get it. FIRE represents a light at the end of the tunnel if you hate your work.

Heat is a major limiting factor in computing power. If that limiter is removed then expect an enormous technical leap

Attacks on the first amendment aren't just about controlling what you can say, they're about controlling code. If code can be made illegal then the internet as we know it is done. Attacks on free speech are a trojan horse

Anyone aware of a Podcast/Article or whatever kind of resource talking about UTXO sizes? Specifically whether it is better for privacy long term to have larger or smaller UTXOs?

It seems to me that if your UTXOs are too small then you have to combine them for larger spends and potentially give away more information RE: stack size than intended, or even dox yourself if you're not careful with labelling.

If UTXOs are too big you will likely have multiple change addresses over time on a UTXO and it seems to me your only option to avoid that would be mixing that UTXO which could get expensive over time. Overall just curious to read/listen to some conversations on the topic.

Think im going to start doing some writing on nostr. Plan is to kind of live journal my view on the world fairly casually as a record for future reference. It seems to me that the world's "normal" is changing too fast for us to remember what normal used to be.

First couple posts will briefly recap where I think we are today.

Interesting video with Brandom Quittem and Preston Pysh. Brandon is 100% correct specifically on his point that the world needs more generalists and arguable less specialists. This applies to just about everything I've looked into including but not limited to; IT, medicine, finance, politics, and farming

Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways. -Proverbs 28:6

I would just add its worth leaving room for forgiveness always. Nobody can wrong another to the degree each of us had wronged God and he still forgives us through his Son. Not that we should ignore wrongdoing, but justice belongs to the Lord.

For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed ; the offspring of the wicked will perish. - Psalms 37:28

Lately Bitcoin twitter has felt like spooks retweeting spooks. Gotten weird over there
