Democratization of anything will create so many missed opportunities for advancement. 
We need less bot-people and more critical thinking people.
It is not even that they are, “so fucking stupid”.
The bot people outsource their morals to a social body of some kind rather than doing the hard work of introspection and studying their relationships to the broader community and acting accordingly.
There are many different reasons why intelligent people become bot-people.
Many intelligent people have a depth of knowledge, not a breadth of knowledge.
That makes outsourcing difficult, complex, time consuming, anxiety ridden problems the intelligent thing to do, at least on cursory inspection.
This outsourcing is the equivalent to a malicious software escaping its sandbox and gaining root privileges. This often leads to great suffering not immediately but over time. History is filled with examples of a moral majority committing atrocities for the good of all mankind.

Why the collectivists, socialists, communists, win over time. especially in a democratic society.
They are unified in their ideology.
They do not allow themselves to stray from the collective spirit constantly reminding themselves of their virtue even when the collective is dead wrong.
The rest of us will continue to loose ground. We are fragmented choosing the best path forward for each of us individually like so many stray cats in an ally, mostly minding our own business not paying attention to others choices. Not because we don’t care, but because it is not our place.
This is the true reason civilizations rise and fall over and over, never learning the lesson, strength in numbers is a good crisis strategy but most often the numbers are manipulated for the benefit of a few rather than the whole.
Why would ideas like collectivism, socialism, communism be tried over and over again and fail? After all history is littered with failed society after society each having benevolent leadership for the good of all.
Because people are inherently good and they want to do good. What is a better good than to hold others up especially those in need. This deep down need to help others, soothe suffering and lift them from misery is the exact mechanism used to take advantage of them. Manipulating the good intentions of the masses for the benefit of the few.
Even the ones doing the manipulation think they are doing good. No not think, they know and are absolutely sure they are not only good but righteous usually willing to take any action necessary to protect their righteous cause.
Beware the wickedness of the righteous.

I propose all of North America, Australia, India, and countries of the EU form a cross border union. Any citizen of one is a citizen of all. Any other countries would be free to join as they so desire.
Each citizen pays taxes and get services from the state you choose to live in.
No superior governing body above each sovereign country/state is allowed to exist.
each country/state competes on its unique ability unencumbered.
Each country may keep their own money as they see fit but must recognize #bitcoin as the universal exchange media between all nations.
The United States of America mostly tried this and only failed because some founders were fear mongers and created the current constitution instead of sticking with The Articles of Confederation allowing for a federal government as we know a love today 🤮 that all but ignores the 10th amendment (and much more) #thanks Hamilton, Madison and other federalists.
