Bitcoin Enthusiast, Trainer & Coach. Steaks. Barbells.

Agree. I believe services like casa are a legitimate option for normies. I also hope that competition (unchained, nunchuk) will bring prices down. Inheritance is still hard and unsolved imho.

Trying to bring the Bitcoiners and Weightlifters together.

1/7 Weightlifting with barbells is like Bitcoin - it requires discipline, dedication, and a long-term mindset. Just as you need to consistently lift weights to build strength, you need to consistently invest in Bitcoin to build wealth.

2/7 Weightlifting and Bitcoin also require patience. You won't see results overnight, but if you stick with it and stay committed, you'll eventually see the fruits of your labor. The same goes for investing in Bitcoin - it's a long game and changes your time preference.

3/7 Weightlifting and Bitcoin both have risks involved. You can get injured while lifting weights, and Bitcoin can be volatile. However, with proper technique and education, you can minimize the risks and increase your chances of success.

4/7 Weightlifting and Bitcoin both have a strong community of enthusiasts. When you lift weights with a group, you're able to push each other to achieve new goals. The same goes for the Bitcoin community - they support and educate each other.

5/7 Weightlifting and Bitcoin also have benefits beyond the physical and financial. Weightlifting can improve mental health and provide a sense of accomplishment, while Bitcoin can offer a new perspective on finance and economics.

6/7 For weightlifters who take their training seriously, it's worth considering investing in Bitcoin. Just as you invest time and energy into lifting weights, you can invest in Bitcoin to diversify your portfolio and potentially reap financial rewards.

7/7 Ultimately, weightlifting and Bitcoin both require discipline, patience, and a long-term mindset. By embracing these qualities, weightlifters can not only build strength but also build wealth with Bitcoin.

Thanks, will probably be my next book. Working through ‘Principles for a New World Order’ by Ray Dalio, which is also super relevant for the unwinding that is currently happening.

Haven’t read it, working through Dalio’s ‘Principles for a New World Order’. There is a lot of discussion about the debt cycle in there. He also has a book on the debt cycle in detail, but obviously you would have read those. Curious how you see them compare to Graeber’s work, sounds like there is overlap.

Great reminder and takeaway from Croesus_BTC (Jesse Myers) on @Natalie

- BTC created every 10 Min: 6.25 (Block Reward)

- BTC created every day: 900

- Equals to 22.500.000 USD (at 25k)

(Assuming miners sell)

You need 22.5 Million USD flowing into Bitcoin every day to maintain price!

Bitcoiners: If you love Bitcoin, you should also love strength training.

Some analogies:

- Proof of work: Strength training is about lifting heavy things. Proof of work is when your deadlift went up from 135 lbs to 315 lbs (60 kg to 140 kg). Lift heavy and prove you're strong.

- Low Time preference: It takes time and discipline to build up strength , but it's the right long-term play for health. You need to find the discipline to hit the gym 2-3 times per week consistently. This pays long-term dividends e.g. by counteracting osteoporosis and sarcopenia

- Stacking Sats: Add 5 pounds (2.5 kg) with every workout. Simple and effective. Do it regularly, do it like you are on autopilot and you will reap the rewards by becoming strong. Don't be the trader and try to create muscle-confusion or mix workouts. Boring, but effective.

- Bitcoin, not Crypto: The gold standard for weight training is doing full body movements using barbells. Deadlift, squat, bench, and press mimic everyday movements and load the entire skeleton. The fancy body magazines and fads of the fitness industry are mostly shitcoins.

- Bitcoin - the gold standard as store of value: Training for strength is the foundation of healthy aging and underpins everything: health, quality of life, and athletic performance.

Keeping it with #[0]: "Stay humble, stack sats". In strength training: Stay humble and add weight to the bar.

So, let's get lifting.

Thanks Starting Strength for the inspiration throughout the past 3 years: https://startingstrength.com/ (not affiliated) - founder is a libertarian called ‘Rip’ from Texas.

Das war mal zum Verifizieren auf dem Nostr Directory. Ich brauch aber auch noch meinen Verifikations Check. Work in Progess.

I still haven’t figured out zapping on Damus. Does it only require a LNURL, or is there more to it? Help, feel like a noob again :-)

Great to have you here.
