In around late September the adults will start chasing them off the territory (especially the young males) as they start getting ready for winter and the next breeding season. I hope your mother enjoys seeing them while they are around!

We always keep some water available in the garden for the local wildlife. Birds like it, and so do the foxes. I've even seen hedgehogs trundle up for a drink.
