Now any lightning txs that go to btcsessions@getalby.com will go directly to my self custodial lightning node purring away on my nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll. I was also able to seamlessly link all of this to nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 on my phone.
I've got some editing to do, but the tutorial will show how to use the cloud hosted option first, followed by a full self sovereign setup on your own hardware. Looking forward to releasing this one.

At lease for US customers yes. And users from the “Send Globally” eligible countries (the Philippines, Mexico, Vietnam, some African countries etc.) can receive fiat on their mobile money account.
UK and EU users can only receive BTC and USDT, afaik.

Doubt they got resources to knock on every Bitcoiner’s door and confiscate their coins.
There’s gonna be enough people who would hand them out voluntarily.
I thjnk KYC is evil and inefficient, but.. when most people will own bitcoin anyway, does it matter that much whether your 0.1 BTC purchase is attached to your identity or not?
Good to still have a smaller non-KYC stack as well (just in case).
A big concern, however, are the identity leaks when databases get hacked..
