I see people with these more and more.
People should be using long time preference drugs such as marijuana and classic psychedelics which expand the mind and last longer than 5 seconds.
All of us pretty much have an addictive dopamine producing slot machine in our pockets.
There are going to be massive consequences for this reduction in the attention span of humanity.
Bitcoin is the solution.
Fiat has created people who only care about themselves.
But can you blame them? Projecting wealth into the future is near impossible in this system. It’s hard to feel secure.
When you are in a “survival” mindset, it’s easy to be self centered.
Bitcoin fixes this.
It’s bizarre that in New York City, you can be next to million dollar apartments while humans are literally dying in the subways below.
That seems pretty dystopian.
We need a cure for this culture rot.
I see many people in New York City who are wearing two masks, gloves…but are overweight.
People have been gravely misled.
Who is telling them that wearing two masks is better than a solid diet and exercise?
This is tragic. How do we solve this confusion?
Sometimes the modern world makes me feel demoralized.
Then I remember that this is the intention. Whether conscious or subconscious, I don’t know but it’s absolutely the goal.
Then I feel stronger, being aware of it.
Not going to play their game.
I opt out.
The entire idea of “retirement” seems like a stupid fiat invention.
We wouldn’t even need a broad range of stupid investment vehicles to make money not evaporate before you’re sixty if the money wasn’t consistently debased through inflation and stolen through taxes.
I think what few people understand is that Bitcoin will soon melt faces off.
$28,000 will seem like a dream.
Bitcoin is going to save the world.
What are some estimates of just how much is devalued/taken through taxes and inflation?
Depending on your home state or country, I’m sure it’s around 40%? That’s my guess.
Here in NY tax alone is 30% which is just bonkers when you really think about it.
It’s unreal how much TikTok has obliterated the attention span of an entire generation.
This is bad.
And it’s easy to see why China would want to do this.
This weakens their enemies and shortens their own citizens time horizon, making them ready for a CBDC.
I always thought I needed to be wealthy in dollars to have free time and success.
That is the message they portray:
“Money will set you free! You want money!”
It’s all a lie. This keeps people on the fiat treadmill, chasing something that’s fake and manipulated.
Bitcoin is actually what sets you free.
As I am learning more about Bitcoin self-custody…
I think about how grand a responsibly it is, to be totally responsible for all of your savings.
If I lose my Bitcoin it’s my fault and nobody will bail me out.
