Just thinking, as someone who lives in SA and can get a pretty awesome house for 1btc (4/5 bed; 3/4 bath) in my city, that house looks more like a 30m to 40m sats house (if it was here). Would be much better to get american opinions on that particular house though, because our houses tend to be MUCH more affordable than the american properties, relative to annual income

PS: I still wouldn't pay 90m sats for this house, but what I would be willing to pay for it is a lot closer to the listing than the one in the original note

Tipped the youngster that was serving me at a local restaurant with zapped sats. He never heard of bitcoin before which is rare, so I zapped him like 3 x the total of my bill so he has some spending money that he needs to figure out how to use. Legend for being willing to try it out without even hearing about it before. Think he's gonna make it to bitcoiner status one day 🥹

Harsh, but it is the reality, yes. At least when you try to live on a btc standard now you will get taxed on the increase in value, but at least, I think, in the long, you will miss out on most of the devaluation that you would experience without it (the tax on the increase in value being the effective devaluation that you would experience). But I agree with what you are saying
As a working, still fiat mining pleb, I try to accumulate as much as possible and hold it as long as possible to at least miss part, but not all, of the usual devaluation
Europe does seem like it's heading in the wrong direction, but at least the euro only loses a third or so of the value that, for example, the zar is losing 😅
