Hey bro, get your hands off my hardware wallet:

The razor-thin balance between seeking mass adoption of #Bitcoin  and keeping it a tool of sovereignty is now playing out among hardware wallet producers

Cash should always be an option

This week’s Consumer Choice Radio, broadcast on Sauga960AM in Toronto, ON:

Have we reached the plateau of food delivery apps?

Plus, some thoughts on Trump's town hall, lessons on rich friends of SC justices and prime ministers, and understanding the FTC through the world of the HBO TV hit Succession

What kind of server + processing power would you need to encrypt millions of Twitter DMs?

A thought experiment I published today in the Washington Examiner:

What would you recommend for a good NAS setup — is Synology trusted enough?

When Gov. Jared Polis opted to allow Colorado residents to pay taxes using Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, this was a fascinating step.

thank u good sir, zapping for posterity

My friend and I used to be huge movie buff DVD collectors. While I stopped collecting and ripping, his collection grew. I often laughed at his massive DVD collection taking up space.

But now seeing how streaming has overtaken most media — and the intellectual property rights are gatekeeping what you can see on each platform, in each country, or if they’re even available on streaming at all, etc., I can see he was right.

You can’t actually *own* the media until you have a physical or digital copy.

Not your DVD or .mkv/.mp4, not your movie. Important lessons for digital media and digital scarcity.

Why Bitcoin privacy matters in the real world

Avoiding financial surveillance on-chain isn't just a paranoid pursuit. For many, it's a matter of life and death
