sir nostr:npub1gl7anmwwleep2jsekvge3lzvuj0nweq48afm69650samxsqeynfqdq6tzy opens the #Bitcoin Policy Summit in Washington, DC

Visited the awesome Czech town of Brno this weekend, and it’s absolutely crazy how much you can buy w/ Bitcoin. Food deliveries, electronics, the local version of Amazon, ice cream, Chinese food, books, etc.
Very possible to live on a bitcoin standard in many parts of the Czech Republic/Czechia.
Helpful that Prague’s bitcoin community have been a fundamental part of adoption!
A new simple place to run your bitcoin node in a docker container on your home PC or an extra laptop on your network:
“Free and open-source, Runtipi lets you install all your favorite self-hosted apps without the hassle of configuring and managing each service. One-click installs and updates for more than 200 popular apps.”
I’m still bullish on BIP47 payment codes

Will the internet stop being a free place because of KYC legislation on social media?
I made a simple LNURL thing for nostr:npub148qm45zettnf6ekgkatnyfadunxwjpu8sy88mjdsgwc5f202d93qmejra7 ‘s new phoenixd

obv on my bday I drop an FTC opinion piece about FTC Chair Lina Khan being fawned over by Jon Stewart:
"It’s telling that when asked of any "success," Khan only cites the layup Martin Shkreli case instead of what she’s staked her tenure on, namely breaking up Amazon, Meta and Google"

On the stellar Free Cities podcast, nostr:npub1gcf9ltaeu42f4tr20z3avkas04dezlx3jaudqsuu87gvmh686xasrvqjg0 interviews my Consumer Choice Center colleague on how Dubai is evolving as a "customer first" destination where residents enjoy unparalleled economic freedom.
I'm growing more to Dubai after having gone there a few times

Due to popular demand here is a quick video of using phoenixd with the Alby NWC app.
https://share.cleanshot.com/Cvpv95FP
it shows:
+ running phoenixd and the NWC app
+ configuring the Alby extension
+ sending / receiving
+ one-click zapping on nostr with Alby NWC + phoenixd (works on web and mobile)
You will be able to use it, too.
But it still needs a bit of work.
I can't wait to hear your thoughts and feedback.
We are also slowly onboarding beta-testers to our new release. Signup if you're interested.
danke sir, I'm spinning this up asap!
basically every cop show now has some kind of bitcoin ransom episode. Saw one recently (Tracker) that at least has the tech guy offering to pay someone in BTC for good work
Repealing FATCA and the Bank Secrecy Act would be pivotal to a future of financial privacy + freedom. Until then, there is Bitcoin and the various decentralized privacy tools you can easily use today. Uncensorable is the key.

Wow nostr:npub1563z6kxmvuy7s8zhzan8m0hzmkavyfzg2aw6h7f0fvcvdms398csaxc9n6 podcast is a masterclass. Only informing myself on bitcoin stuff this way now
i only wish i would have complied harder and faster
There is an entire industry of lawyers, NGOs, and state attorneys general desperate to deny us the fruits of energy innovation and get us all paying more
me in OC Register
just stuff that mostly aided GOP or catered to his center-right donor base. I have no problems with that, it's just made it more difficult to have his video and investigations go outside the Conservative Media bubble. The Pfizer stuff came mostly at the tail end of Project Veritas, and now he's got his own independent outlet since the PV board pushed him out.
Not using right-wing as a pejorative, btw
lol J, don't talk to this bot

The fact that it's universal is actually a huge accomplishment. I've only ever seen this applied thus far to FinTech and "web3". Excellent work!
I met James when I was a young reporter as well, about 2013 or so. We actually did talk about bitcoin since he was somewhat of a techie as well, and he started accepting for Project Veritas pretty early. He's generally very libertarian, but he's kind of built a career as mostly a right-wing "GOT 'EM" entertainer.
Appreciate the craft, and sometimes he gets it right
