I'm working on my class schedule for this summer class in econ about money.
I have roughly 90 kids between the ages of 14 and 16 years. They are all Germans, and they seriously lack good English skills. So, I need very easy English explanations for money and Bitcoin.
So far, they will get the booklet from Deutsche Bundesbank (German Branch of ECB basically) and of course the 3 min What is Bitcoin video from Tuttle Twins. I’m also sitting on the Bitcoin Diploma translation from My first Bitcoin into German, which might be a bit too much for my spare time.
Dear #nostr community any recommendations? How would you teach young kids, and do you even have German sources by any chance? If not are there very easy things for them to get?

re: tornado cash, Samourai Wallet
Never forget last year many states were duped into thinking the UCC was some kind of CBDC plot, w/o realizing it protects self-custody + noncustodial services better than any feel good bitcoin "law".
This was the direct result of everyone's favorite "bitcoin lobbyist".
Just remember that before sending your hard-earned sats to do performative nonsense in state legislatures.

They're actually wrong. It's called the Uniform Commercial Code Article 12, which deems allows for "control" of cryptocurrency via what they call "Controllable Electronic Records". Passed in most states, and we've been pushing for more.
As far as we know right now, yes. Consequently, if you need to provide any transaction details for accounting, BTCPay Server makes that quite simple with easy excel or CSV exports
O, you and I have heard our fathers say
There was a Brutus once that would have brooked
Th'eternal devil to keep his state in Rome
As easily as a king.
BTCPay Server, and then just create separate wallets. More liquidity, still enough division
The policy solution to Phoenix Wallet shutting down in the U.S.:
Every state banking supervisor should issue immediate guidance that noncustodial bitcoin and crypto services ARE NOT money transmission businesses.
so far, this is the only way to "rate" the various mints people have joined, right? It's all word of mouth right now, I take it
Money transmission laws, set by states, need modernization, clarifying that noncustodial crypto services DO NOT fall under MSB territory.
At the same time, for the remaining custodial services, it should be made as easy as possible to acquire one of these licenses.
I wrote model language for a state-level bill for reciprocity of Money Transmitter Licenses, and I will expand it ensure noncustodial services would not fall under MTL within that language. Working with state lawmakers to introduce where I can.
This is the stuff that matters, and I hope many bitcoiners stop supporting unenforceable "feel good" bitcoin bills in states that do nothing. States have dominion over money transmission rules and enshrining into law the non-application for noncustodial services should be a priority.

FBI front-running the duly-elected Congress by creating its own policies on what bitcoin and cryptocurrency privacy services (AND CODE) are legal or not.
An unconscionable scare tactic akin to the post-9/11 “color warnings” to change public opinion. “Caution” over freedom.

🫴The latest privacy bill discussed in DC starts strong, but falls into the trap of exempting government (🚨) and empowering the FTC and trial lawyers in ways that won't be helpful to consumers or innovators
my TV hit on the Steve Gruber Show this morning to talk privacy and innovation
Most "privacy activists" in the EU are more concerned with stopping free enterprise than enhancing people's privacy.
There are tools and tech that are very empowering for consumers and users, available now.
The fact that they don't educate about this reveals the true intention.
