What would people say is the best way for people who are getting off zero to keep small amounts of #bitcoin ?
Options I currently know of that are out there:
- keeping it on an exchange, of which there are multiple options.
A) Strike- being a bitcoin only exchange which brings custodial lightning wallet features to the masses

C)Swan- still bitcoin only, offers a lot of good educational content
D)Any other bitcoin only exchange I haven’t mentioned
E) Any crypto platform exchange, I.e. Coinbase, Kraken, Binance, Binance US, etc.
- 2nd layer solutions:

Thoughts on #healthcare and #austrianeconomics ? I found this video interestingly misinformed. People don’t necessarily see how the computational power behind #bitcoinmining is very specific and can’t be just repurposed to something like pooling computational power together to help solve a problem like cancer. In the though of this I find myself presented with a question where I ask if the energy used in something like bitcoin mining better purposed towards powering computers that could supposedly help compute a cure for any number of diseases or are we better off healthcare wise having a free market economy?

I don’t know a dang thing about mining but this video helped me wrap my mind around it a little bit more, particularly stratum V2
I’ve somewhat learned what a nonce is, I always had this thought that mining is just a random number guessing game which simplistically looking at it it sort of is, but that would imply that there’s a expected outcome which would mean someone knows the solution to the solving the block. I’m no math wiz but finding out that there’s more than one possible solution and that it just has to be a number that produces a hash with the correct or greater number of zeroes (I realize I’m probably butchering this explanation) and that it’s a dynamically engineered system to adjust for however much computational power is pointed at it amazed me. I’m from more of a biology background so learning of a mathematical homeostasis mechanism in place is sort of mind blowing.
Excited to get my #bitaxe gamma running. Side by side with a Supra 401 and an Ultra 205. Months before running bitaxes to learn about mining I had my preconceived notions about what mining is or isn’t but my view on #bitcoin has expanded so much just by playing around with these cool home miners and learning about #hashing. I still have a lot to learn but pretty cool conceptually to actually be hashing.
