People are ready when they are ready. The worst thing you can do is confidence them to buy and they wait till the top and buy. They are not getting back in until it is too late. Just talk about problems in the economy, inflation, how money is manipulating people and wars. Mention if money was not able to be printed it wouldn’t be as easy to do. And leave it there. They will find bitcoin eventually when they are ready and it will be their decision and not yours.

Need to change the person to wear a stained sleeveless shirt and ripped faded jean shorts with flipflops, and a nascar cap.

I haven’t messed around with it yet but perhaps a fedimint. Multiple people with knowledge can control the mint to prevent a single point of failure. Money can be sent to their account even if they cannot access it. Then when someone wants or gains access to the technology they can take control of their own funds. Like I said I only know what I have heard on podcasts but it might be an option.

I would be checking my balance the second I woke up from that. Hope you don’t sleepwalk, that would be a bitcoiner horror movie.

Morning thoughts—far too many folks on the left/left economic thought can’t comprehend a world or ecosystem built on a deflationary money. There are a few of us unicorns who believe in robust social services and collective support for folks in poverty and historically marginalized communities and also #bitcoin/not inflating and printing away our problems as a bandaid solution to eventual catastrophe.

Working in nonprofits and being responsible for generating revenue for my nonprofit, I’ve seen first hand the world we continue to barrel toward which is more middle class and low income folks in the U.S. relying on government programs that are not sustainable (or even helpful in some ways)!

I’d like to see a world where these folks have access to better savings, are encouraged to save and not be caught in a trap of 35 different government programs with fun name attached to it, and get out of this cycle where there’s poverty, no agency or financial freedom, and no hope.

That said, some government programs are critical and helpful, and some are not. They are not all equal. But too often we are sending the message that, rather than people obtain earnings and save in meaningful ways, the gov’t knows best for you and will limit your ability to do so, trap you in programs that keep you in poverty, or just ignore it all together.

Every human is deserving and worthy of dignity and equal opportunity. #Bitcoin does this and slowly corrects this line of thinking. I’m even interested in exploring UBI pilots with Bitcoin, etc, to give people agency to use resources the way they best see fit and make their own decisions.

Anyway, more to come. There’s an eventual book here somewhere as well once I find the time. And whatever political ideology folks want to assign to me or ridicule me for, I’m proud to say I am laser focused on solutions > ideology.

GM☕️. Agree. I will add some to the govt programs having worked in one for years. They start off with a goal to provide a beneficial service to the public at a scale not provided by the private sector at the time. However they programs need to have an expiration date as the private industry catches up and advances past these agencies. In addition the agencies grow past their original benefit to compete with the private sector, a net negative for society. Less jobs, less technological advancement, bigger govt, more taxes.
