i dont think so, it all depends what do we lose as a result of that monopoly ( lost value creation, higher prices, less innovation) and the type of monopoly would be a factor in that consideration ( a state monopoly has externalities a natural monopoly does not) , so depends on the industry, type of monopoly. i think monopolies are kinda necessary evils to make other markets work effectively in certain areas of an economy ( ie utilities-esque services ) but id love to know of examples where thats not the case 🙂

tried to onboard my friend to lightning by providing a custodial lightning wallet via my node with lnbits using lndhub. he uses an apple phone which i am not familiar with. we downloaded nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 uploaded to the most recent version available but could never get the connection to be successful. my lnbits instance connection is only available via tor, and we had tor toggled on in the zeus app.
anyone have ideas why this didnt work? i can connect no problem to the lndhub connection using zeus on my android phone. Thanks!

its crazy to me that people even bother making freedom tech for apple's OS. feel like it it picked up any momentum itd just be turned off. seems pointless
