Hi nostr friends, i am ready to drink something cold and relax for the evening. I made some progress on the backyard project, and also got some chores done in the house. I'm thinking about ordering a Start9 server, i've read lots of good things about them, and it sounds like something that would help with online privacy. Plus it just sounds fun. start9 is a revolutionary tool, will open your eyes to self hosting, which conceptually i didnt know it but getting into bitcoin IS getting into self ĥosting.
their boxes are a fantastic value. with that said, the OS is open source and could be loaded onto a used computer for free! in case you wanna try it out before buying. im happy to answer any questions that come up if you plan to explore start9 more 😀
Purchased a Start9 a few months back. First time I ever dabbled in a node or any of the other apps they have. Even set up a lightning node for a while. Was easy to set up. Works like a champ. Love the password manager. Working on my own data clod. Following their instructions, I even installed TOR on my Mac. Great documentation, great support. I’m not a tech guy, but found it quite simple to get it all up and going. Highly recommend.
