What do you mean?

Nostr Wallet Connect is just RPC over the Nostr protocol. All it would technically need is:

- Umbrel configures a local LN node,

- enables an NWC-compatible plugin,

- returns a `nostr+walletconnect://$pubkey?relay=$elay&secret=$secret` URI (the pubkey doesnt and possibly shouldnt match the main profile's npub),

- optionally generates a QR code she can scan with #Amethyst

I thought Umbrel had that? Im curious now, gonna google that. ^^

I still feel like we need another 12 months or more of sideways price action to get rid of so more pretenders and scammers.

Thanks for this! So I understand that it’s not possible with a standard channel. But what I’m more interested in is CAN it - the creation of paper sats through lightning - be done at all? My assumption here is that if it can be done, it will be, especially if and as “lightning channels trend towards centralization" as the common criticism goes. Thoughts? #plebchain #AskNostr

That's the thing, my understanding of what NIP-05 is supposed to do has been rendered mostly useless because there are so many services, and some clients, that offer a free NIP-05 address and pass it off as being a simple Human-Readable Identifier. If I'm understanding NIP-01 correctly, a kind 0 note already provides an HRI that clients can use for search queries. So it seems to me that people are completely misunderstanding what NIP-05 is meant to accomplish. Then again I could be 100% wrong here.

Ah ok! I'm just trying to figure out why people are pushing so hard to say that NIP-05 isn't a form of Twitter-like verification. Because my understanding of NIP-05 is that you're supposed to use a domain that you own and have direct control over, the latter point at an absolute bare minimum, and thus are verified.

I'm not all that knowledgeable about the programming side of NIPs but I still figured I should look through some of the NIPs and at least try to figure out what they are supposed to do. I was looking through NIP-02 and was wondering, is that basically the profile? Stuff like a display name that most clients would use to identify a pubkey in a search? #asknostr

I have a #truenas to save my pictures and videos from vacation etc. Auto uplod via Filesync App.

I manage those pics with Lightroom on my pc because i can filter those pics easily with metadata.

It works pretty good. But it cost me ~12 Euro/month for the lightning abo.

Any other solutions out there?

A Brazilian acquaintance who’s a dance teacher,pioneer in burlesque dance teaching in Brazil,just had her YouTube account deleted without any previous notice. All her content is now gone and she doesn’t have any of her videos backed up. Have you ever thought about that? If your cloud is gone,or any of your email accounts are deleted, what would you do? I’m asking you, but that is a question I ask myself too. That’s scary af. Her account was really old, I don’t think she has inappropriate content at all. I don’t understand why YouTube would do that to her.
