Web2 product guy since 2011. Bitcoin holder since 2017. Node runner since 2020. Recovering NFT degenerate since 2022. Relayer since 2023.

Zapping from my node in my web browser using Alby and CLN Commando is pure sex.

Looking for advice: what's the best way to monitor activity on my nostr relay (nostream)? # of users, # of active connections, events relayed etc?

that purple lightning tho ⚡🤩⚡

#[0] I finally got my paid relay set up end to end but am now running into issues when i stop my relay (ctrl+C) and ./script/start again. I see the following migration errors (see gist). I can't make sense of it... seems like it can't connect to registry.npmjs.org? But I can curl that same URL just fine. Any ideas where to go for this?

Looking for a few folks to help me test a paid relay I’m setting up (for free of course). Just help me poke around and suggest tweaks etc. I’m learning here! hmu

The “bitcoin wastes electricity” punchline is definitely a major embellishment embellishment *at best* but you have to admit it’s not a good look for mining facilities to accept local power prices. That’s a negative externality and needs to be acknowledged.

As for this video… what is the point this guy is trying to make? Of course computers don’t emit CO2, it’s the fossil fuel plants that (largely speaking) power them. Responses like this video make the industry seem silly imo.

Anyone wanna help me test a paid relay I’m setting up for fun? Looking for 5 people or so. Like or comment or something and I’ll DM you when I add you ~tomorrow!

They’ve pushed it out a few times, probably because of covid or something
