thanks for sharing more detail on how it works. Have you explored doing automated clip generation? Depending on the cost of infrastructure it could be nice to just autogenerate a dozen clips and let me review/pick which ones I like most and then I can share them.

If you already know what you’re looking for from a convo you had/saw the process you outlined looks efficient, but I’m interested in also finding “the best clips from a 2 hour talk” even if I don’t know it until I see it.

Before the 1990s most computing was done on mainframes that were expensive and difficult to access, because that was simply the state of hardware.

Then we had a couple decades of software running on personal computing hardware because networking hardware sucked.

Now with broadband we're back to running software on servers because cloud computing has made it cost efficient, and software companies can have far greater control over the user experience.

The looming question in my mind: can we swing the pendulum back in the other direction by focusing on development of p2p apps and infrastructure?

I don’t understand how the crypto community trusts Telegram which is closed source, has substandard encryption, and actively cooperates with police. Signal isn’t perfect but it’s a hell of a lot better than Telegram. Transparent open funding from the US government and California tech money donations is a hell of a lot better than sketchy Russian and Middle Eastern funders.

Yeah, I agree that discussing the importance of free speech outside of nostr can be good for helping attract people who are curious about these topics to know about nostr.
