A really solid breakdown of what Proton (the compatibility layer) is, and how insanely cool the tech is.

Seems I got it working, sweet! Thanks again!
It isn't the most complex thing in the world but I think it does a good job of aesthetically depicting his anonymity.
There's a certain "something" about Japanese sencha that I just can't get with anything else, even in the tea world. My journeys beyond teabags started with sencha, so maybe it's just nostalgia, but there really is something about it that makes me "feel" good. 🤔

Canadians, do you remember this?

It's mind-boggling how this idiot is still in power.
This is really cool to see! I've never played the real Minecraft but I have played quite a bit of Minetest (the base game) since the start. It has always been a fantastic FOSS game and has only gotten better over the years!

I really do think that one of the biggest reasons people fall back on the "nothing to hide" argument is because they're scared of just how much data governments and companies harvest and they don't know how to take action. Because of this, they gaslight themselves.
This is why I'm a firm believer that we need to have incremental categories of privacy actions people can take. It frustrates me to no end when someone comes to a privacy channel and gets the whole "ditch absolutely EVERYTHING except Linux, self-hosted cloud & a custom ROM".
Truth is, until we make it easier for the average person to actually understand privacy and grasp the ways they can take action, we're going to see very little progress in getting people on board with this movement.
Meet people where they are!

The new update to Vivaldi changed the way the UI works and I'm not really a fan. I'm okay with increasing the size of the UI elements but something about the spacing feels "off" somehow.

Gotcha, I will check that out in some spare time. Thanks!
Well, I did mention classic Greek philosophers for that reason. I believe that if we're seeking wisdom, that's good, but it needs to be done in a way that doesn't try to red explain away theology. It's similar to how secular science irks me to no end. Philosophy, like science, should ultimately guide one toward the divine.
Where do I go to add it to my profile? I can't seem to find it haha
Do we know which clients support them? I currently use Amethyst.
Nice, thanks for the clarification!
Virtually every ounce of western civilization was originally founded upon Christianity, or in some cases, Christianized versions of a previously existing religion/culture.
Meanwhile, the biggest impact a school of philosophy had is Marxism, which extends beyond the economic philosophy core of communism and into every facet of society. As we see Marxism swarm the west, its no coincidence that we see western civilization crumbling before our very eyes.
Replacing religion with philosophy dooms a civilization. Traditional philosophy, like the studies of the great Greek philosophers, is compatible with these values because it really was just as its name implied: love of wisdom. Modern philosophy is a godless religion of humanism and basing your worldview on any form of humanism is a recipe for disaster or, at best, a recipe for disappointment and disillusionment.
No thanks. Religion has produced far more value to civilization than secular philosophy ever has.
It is! They also have a "tea club" subscription if you want random, full bags of tea every month. They're a great brand, too. All of their teas are sourced from smaller farmers in Japan who use fully organic processes, and they also have a very informative Youtube channel. Friendly staff too, I've had some contact with them and they're immensely passionate about tea!
It does back it up, actually. There are passages that talk about being sober (and not just in mind). Sure, a sip of wine at Christmas or other festivities isn't bad, but nine times out of ten, alcohol consumption goes far beyond that.
