Dashboard + Keyboard Shortcuts for Navigation:

An idea on how to avoid having an overcrowded sidebar menu and clean up your UI:

πŸ‘‰ Display the tabs of your sidebar as cards in a dashboard grid

πŸ‘‰ In each card: show the most relevant options. This means that, for all most common flows, you have the same amount of clicks/actions as with a sidebar.

πŸ‘‰ Have a Keyboard shortcut for each card and/or common action

The idea of an Unschooling Nostr App has been haunting me for the last few days.

So I just might, yes 😜.

nostr:npub1dtgg8yk3h23ldlm6jsy79tz723p4sun9mz62tqwxqe7c363szkzqm8up6m & Breedlove podcasting with hammer:

- Don't dilute your message to please the masses.

- In the process of taking away people's responsibilities, you take away their freedom.

- When you optimise society for the weak, you devolve it, everyone drowns and the weak drown first.

- If the Meek/Remnant are convinced that they shouldn't wield power, they leave vacuum for the looters, moochers and cheaters.

- The problem didn't start with money printer, it started when the slave class made the masters feel guilty about their capacity to channel energy.

- The Remnant are not the lucky few, they are the prepared few.

- Good luck happens when hard work and opportunity cross paths.

- There is no ethical justification for the elimination of consent

- Nietzsche saw the cancer of the Last Man for what it was, writing at the height of western civilisation

- Through the destruction, brought about by a focus on Quantity instead of Quality, will rise an archetype of a great man, an Ubermensch.

Let's not make things easy for normies.

Let's make them easy for us. So we can go on and tackle the harder stuff.

It's not like we don't need these things ourselves:

- Simple and safe login methods & Key delegation

- Content discovery/curation tools and Algorithms #dvms #spam

- Nutzaps #ecash

- Group Chats & Communities

- Unstoppable ways to make money

- Beautiful interfaces

Normie-lising Nostr is a byproduct of early adopters wanting good UX for THEMSELVES first. It doesn't mean making stupid compromises for the masses.

The more awesome you make Nostr apps for yourself, the easier it will be to attract people like you. And those are exactly the kind of people you'd want here anyway.

Oh wow, didn't check Rabbit in a while. Thanks πŸ‘

Lume is desktop-only, Amethyst android-only. Those are still veeeeery large niches. I'm looking for real fuck you clients.

πŸ‘‰ Lume, but it's Mac silicon only and you can do everything with keyboard shortcuts, only has dark mode, doesn't display anything except for the feed you're in and the home screen is a DVM chatbot that you can ask for whatever you want (that isn't accessible with a shortcut directly)

Is there a Kind-1 client yet that says fuck you to 95% of users and really 100% optimises for a certain device / way of using the app?

Examples I think of:

- 100% desktop Keyboard navigation (shortcuts for switching between feed, articles, messages, ...)

- going beyond one finger swiping on mobile (2 + 3 finger gestures, ...)

Lise van Boxel does a great job with this book in making Nietzsche more accessible to plebs πŸ‘Œ. So, don't start with Nietzsche himself, start with this I'd say.

Warspeak, Nietzsche's victory over nihilism

"Form follows Function" is only true for me if you define "Function" as something like "Joy of Use", which integrates attractiveness and beauty.

On the scale of a screen the most pleasant apps to use are often relatively minimal.

Once you scale up to human size objects, buildings, cities, etc... that is not at all true though.

These components are πŸ”₯
