Discussion
Just finished the audiobook for Broken Money while awaiting my physical copy.
Ooh, sounds lovely
Currently halfway through The Design of Everyday Things, and right now I'm reading through precursor and introduction to Aurelius's Meditations
I should go back to reading more books on creativity and accomplishing personal goals. I think the bitcoin philosophy stuff is pretty much covered by now.
I'm reading two now:
1) Bitcoin: Separation of money and state, by Joseph Tetek.
2) The first and last freedom, by J. Krishnamurti.
Y'all reading smart economics books, I'm just over here with Slaughterhouse 5 😅
The Ottomons. Its a history of their empire and a christmas gift, so just started. but looking forward to it as know next to nothing about them
A book about stoicism 🙏🏽
Oh, how lovely. Just started Meditations myself
Which book is it?
It‘s the following. I am afraid though, that there isn’t english translation yet.
It deals with the philosophy of Stoicism and how stoic people live, what’s their values, attitudes, behaviours, etc.
Very interesting actually 👍🏽
Just finished “Existential Physics” by Sabine Hossenfeld … needed a light & fun read so I started “Off to be the Wizard” by Scott Meyer.
The first one asks questions like “Does the Past Exist?”, “Has physics ruled out free will?” & “Are humans predictable?” & answers them through a physics lens … interesting but a mildly difficult read.
The latter is about a programmer that finds a hidden file in a server that allows him to edit his life stats & promptly becomes a wizard in Medieval England. Definitely the tone I was looking for … fun read …
Just finished Mandibles and in the middle of reading Seeing Like a State.
