I’m not talking about a dial or slider for the trust you have in people; I’m talking about it for the feed. Basically dialing up or down whatever algo/heuristics you’re using.

I've thought about it this a lot recently. Just like in life, there are layers/levels to the amount your trust or want to pay attention to someone.

I've always thought it would be a cool UI pattern to have a dial or a slider for all feeds on Nostr, where you can control the aperture of the feed based on their WoT proximity to you, how much you trust them, or how much you want to pay attention to them.

i finally broke down and i'm gonna get myself a little electric bicycle... one with nice wide fat tires for the often wet and steep roads around me... i dunno how the brakes are gonna work out... probably will need to make sure i get some spare discs and brake pads and cables because hilly terrain like this means sometimes nearly red hot brake discs (i saw this in Sarajevo in the hills on the south side, which are friggin crazy steep, just like here in madeira)

i will still get my exercise, probably will work out the same because i'll travel more this way

days like today, easter sunday, really drive home the importance of having a bit more mobility here... only places that were open today were on the tourist strip right next to the beach, 6km away, down 400m of altitude

i will need to get some proper rain suit gear tho... legs and a jacket... and maybe even get a motocross/bmx style helmet mainly to keep my head from being saturated by rain

best part though is gonna be being able to ride the slow sloped roads down, and if i ever want to, get off the track and walk it to take a shortcut

Thx, yes I agree, Jesus had even bigger fish to fry - correcting our base layer, the belief system we have broadly speaking.

And I would add:

Our belef system, broadly speaking, is Layer zero.

The next layer, Layer one, is the monetary system, is scaled upon the belief system.

And almost everything else in the civilization is layered upon the monetary system.

If we believe that

- we don't have to respect the truth,

- or that we don't have to fight to protect our freedom and sovereignty

- or that we can leave it to others to provide for our security

then we are bound to end up with letting someone monopolizing the monetary system.

I wonder if things could have been different if Jesus had this analytical framework.

Isn’t there also often a multigenerational nature to effective non mechanized agriculture? So we need to stop being transient, and find a way to be graceful, forgiving, and get along with our ancestors and children and in laws. Or else marry better within an aligned set of values. This is a different direction than the world has been going.

Homesteading only makes sense on a fiat standard.
