Finally got around to implementing my purple tick. Beats a blue tick every time.

Many thanks to all the devs/fanatics for the simple instructions!!

I must check out eMac’s although I’ve more or less settled on my workflow.

I do something similar, but currently use Obsidian and Notion to work through tasks and keep relevant notes on everything I've done over the course of the day.

I've often had to revert to previous notes on a project to get an understanding of where it has been left and in many cases even to figure out how to approach it. It saves so much time, otherwise I end up in the constant cycle of figuring things out rather that catching up and getting ahead.

The brain is great at creating new ideas and not that great at keeping old ones available and relevant. Notes of one kind or another are perfect for retaining this info for another date when we may need it.

In today's fast-paced and ever-changing world, knowledge workers have become increasingly important for businesses and organizations. These workers are often highly skilled individuals who are relied upon to provide their expertise in a particular field to help their company succeed. However, in order to be effective, a knowledge worker must have a clear understanding of the expectations placed upon them and the needs of the people who will be using their knowledge output.

10m per btc. CLient got seriously buggy there for a bit.

It was 10 m Dollars but the dollar sign removed the 1 somehow... my bad. Recent forecasts from Bitcoin Finance peeps reckon btc to 10m by 2030...

All these sats flying around are going to look very expensive when we hit 0m btc price :)

In recent years, attention has become a form of currency on the internet, as advertisers and marketers vie for the precious resource of people's time and focus. The attention economy is a concept that highlights the growing value of attention as a scarce commodity, with advertisers and other businesses competing for users' attention to sell their products or services. However, the attention economy is not without its limits, as there is a finite amount of attention available, and the competition for it is intensifying.

The primary driver of the attention economy is view time, as advertisers know that the more attention they can get, the more likely they are to generate leads and make sales. However, there is a hard cap to the attention economy, as there is a limit to the amount of time in a day and the number of individuals available to advertisers. With so much content available on the internet, people are becoming increasingly selective about what they pay attention to, making it challenging for advertisers to capture and hold their audience's attention.

Advertisement companies are playing a losing game in the attention economy. As the competition for attention intensifies, companies are forced to spend more and more money to capture the attention of their audience, while the value of that attention continues to decline. This has led to a situation where advertisement companies are limited in their ability to generate a return on their investment, as the cost of capturing attention has become so high.

However, there is an alternative to the traditional advertisement model that is emerging in the form of decentralized networks and decentralized social media. These networks are designed to remove the need for the advertisement model by allowing people to give value for value on posts they find relevant. Instead of relying on advertisements to generate revenue, these networks rely on a system of micropayments and incentives, where users can support content creators directly by paying for access to their content.

Decentralized networks and social media platforms offer a more equitable and sustainable model for content creation and consumption. They remove the intermediaries that are involved in the traditional advertisement model, allowing content creators to receive direct compensation for their work, and giving users more control over the content they consume. This model is also more transparent, as users can see exactly how their money is being spent, and content creators can see exactly how much they are earning.

The rise of decentralized networks and social media platforms represents a major shift in the attention economy, as people start to value their attention more and are willing to pay for content they find relevant. These networks also offer a more democratic and decentralized approach to content creation, where users have more control over the content they consume, and content creators have more control over their revenue streams

Seriously considering changing banks. Logged into my banking app and was presented with a request to support a cause they are pushing. Regardless of whether the cause is worthy or not, I don’t appreciate my bank promoting this. Next they’ll be donating on my behalf.

Thoughts??

I’m not interested in your revolution.

I want a peaceful evolution.

Bitcoin and Nostr show us the way!!

You will own nothing and be happy.

The subscription model is the future they want. A monthly fee for everything in life. Housing, transportation, information, basic necessities, even identity (check marks). Some they will push the convenience: Car subscriptions, get a new car every two years includes insurance! Others they will force by removing any other choice: Investment companies buying up homes, driving up prices, and then renting them to you at a premium. Still others they will just box you in: Verify your identity, have access to our previously free services, and avoid the mountain of ads that we dump on you.

You are already used to doing this from paying monthly utilities, rent, car lease, or fun delivery services that send clothes or food prep packages. But what happens when everything is a subscription? Any option to just buy something out right is not even offered anymore, even food. I don’t see meat in the catalog this month but cricket burgers are on sale!

You will own nothing and be happy. It has already started. It will continue slow but steady until one day it is complete and you never even noticed. You won’t mind. You will just go to your job and pay your monthly fee and your lifestyle will be exactly the same as before. Potentially it will be even better with nicer stuff than what you had before. You are happy. Until one day the fiat job stops.

Maybe you are too old to work anymore. Maybe the company had layoffs to bump up the stock price. Maybe you did or said something in your personal life that they didn’t like. Suddenly you are cut off from everything because you own nothing. Homeless, no transportation, nothing but the clothes on your back. You can’t even sell, pawn, or have a yard sale to raise quick cash because you literally own nothing. That house and car wasn’t yours, even the furniture was subscription. You might have a few personal Knick knacks but nothing anyone would want to buy or trade you for. Even all your personal pictures, books, and movies were digitally stored and streamed and you don’t have access anymore.

This would be exasperated by CBDCs as they wouldn’t even have to wait until you run out of fiat, they could just turn it off now. Plus this would take care of those savers who get too comfortable in their situation and start saying and doing things that they shouldn’t.

You will own nothing and be happy.

This is why it is vitally important that bitcoiners become a major force in politics, finance and other areas of public life. I’ve posted multiple notes about this only this week. We need to have a strong and United voice when these issues are discussed. A clear strong message which clearly lays out the plan currently being implemented along with a viable alternative is the only way to wake up the sheeple as to what is currently going on.

I try daily to wake those around me but I’m either viewed as eccentric or completely cracked. The real message needs to come en mass before it will truely sink in.

What is the most concerning aspect of this for you Stephen. I read the article. Thanks for surfacing Ross for me also!!

Zaps are the plaything of the plebs!!

Believe they are looking for email for sign up. Can’t confirm though.
