gm. I wrote an introductory read on why I believe building education technology with nostr & ecash is the right way to transform education.
Tl;dr education doesn’t need to be re-imagined, it needs to be re-invigorated.
Twitter right now has a racialized debate on the right over American immigrant & tech.
Nostr, with plenty of folks on the right, doesn't even mention anything about it because it's not caught up in a corporate rage algorithm lol
Where it started and where it’s going. #bitcoin

Added NIP-60 with a scholarship tracking app that I’m building, meaning that there’s more than one recipient you can direct your bitcoin to when you learn how to code on https://robotsbuildingeducation.com

Scrolling tech & startup Twitter often reminds me why I don’t like this industry and prefer to hang around midwestern & minority small businesses instead.
It’s very much a niche community that is seemingly unaware that most people really don’t give a shit about things like tech or AI.
The Bitcoin community on nostr gets this right - yeah the tech is important, and money is important, but being a normal person that you can hang out with and not talk shop 24/7 is the greatest social currency.
Am I doing it right?

People love the character they consume. A lot of it is perceptions and projections over understanding. The folks that are willing to understand you and tolerate your imperfections are worth their weight in gold though.
I'm gonna miss O-1 pro as much as I miss OG GPT-4. Happy to see things moving along beautifully.
A lot of the times the mind virus will encourage people to project self-loathing.
The most obvious form of self-hatred is the self-hating American who cannot reconcile the extraordinary amount of privileges they experience and thus internalize it as sole eternal struggle of victimization seeking fair opportunity.
It’s quite pathetic when you pause to think about it.
A culture that can't tolerate disagreement is a cult.

This mind virus expresses itself in many ways, and is typically rooted in anti-American sentiment. Very common in Latino media.
Thankfully, TikTok is being banned. And rightfully so. The algorithm is designed to achieve this outcome, which is why it will never be open-sourced.
It’s easy for Americans to reverse engineer it. It would be bad politics for bytedance to do so.
The recipe tends to be the same - the weaponization of empathy, groupthink inspired by algorithms, and the desire to destroy one’s own voice in order to destroy the voices of others.
Overtime what happens is an increasingly disinterest, depressed and disconnected collective of people who lose touch with society. A cult of sorts.
I hate to frame things this way but a lot of women who struggle with mental illness (and men with a poor sense of self esteem) are the greatest consumers of the mind virus on TikTok.
A few months ago this was the now-forgotten Free Palestine movement and today it’s the Free Luigi movement.

Turning my friends scholarship Instagram page into a scholarship Instagram app using AI & nostr.
Demo
kinda random but maybe what Duolingo needs is a feed of data that you can translate in the language that you're learning so you can learn more about how people communicate in their language.
I'm doing something like with this #LearnOnNostr but not something I've thought about too much yet

There was a kind of magic to Tiktok in its earlier days that kinda faded away over the years. People created the coolest clips & songs and it just found itself on every social media platform for a while.
That watermark did wonders.
Now that I can create scholarships with learning using NIP-60 & NIP-61, I’m gonna work on a scholarship tracking app for
