I'm painfully aware of ownership and how much I hate the institutions that fraudulently (but somehow legally) take people's money, and tell them it's still theirs when it's not.

It's a number that's impossible to calculate accurately. I'd estimate that less than half had to report the "donations" because of their political positions. Only God knows how many more bribes went out that were never reported. And there are no FTX records exist to check against, so we'll never know.
Where does the disdain for saylor come from? I think we can all agree that the guy is pretty far over the top and wears a thinly veiled mask to cover the fact he's an got entrepreneur well before any maxi tendencies. But the guy definitely seems to have a level of conviction that most non-maxis lack.

How do you think we could better facilitate and teach users about self hosting? This is the only real privacy option, but the barrier to entry is so damn high for most users...
I don't remember the last time I used a social media platform where I closed the app with a smile on my face. They were all so vile and toxic that by the time I was done doom scrolling I was anxious or irritated or just outright angry.
Now all I see is genuine content from people whose interactions I genuinely enjoy. I don't have an algorithm designed to keep me doom scrolling. When I close this app, I'm usually smiling at something I found amusing or out of genuine satisfaction I got from my time spent.
This is why I'm bullshit on nostr.

Wake up early, especially if you're not a "morning person". Do that workout even though you're too tired. Read that book even if that means you can't watch that TV show. Do that research that will take you an extra day. Have the hard conversation that you're anxious about. Get out of your comfort zone and grow.
