The verification for NIP-05 is inherently both. The DNS is a preliminary requirement to host the txt file in the first place. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying in the original post, this feature is already there.
It stands for "Unspent Transaction Output" and essentially it's just a receipt to prove that you own what you say you do. And your wallet is really just a collection of those receipts.
Whenever you spend a portion of one receipt, you destroy the original and get a new receipt for the amount you didn't spend and the recipient gets their own receipt. Likewise, if you spend from multiple receipts, they're all destroyed and the same process occurs.
The proof of ownership comes from your private key. Only that key can create a signature that matches the one on your receipts.
Do you mean NIP-05? NIP-07 is for browser extensions.

My previous job was a gas station clerk. I had an empty store one evening an older handicapped woman came in and asked me to help her pump her gas, which I did. My manager asked me about it the next day, so I explained what happened to cause me to leave the empty store unattended for 5 minutes.
When she wrote me up, she was such a a coward that she left early that day and taped the paper writeup to the time clock. I happily left her a response telling her where she could stick her writeup and never looked back.
ChatGPT pulls that shit on me all the time! It gets awfully frustrating sometimes. But like a true glutton for punishment, I keep going back because it's such a helpful tool.
I've put in 80-100 hour weeks educating myself and and trying and failing and trying and failing some more. Today I finished building out my own cloud management platform and PaaS on top of that.
It's been rough, and the thought of quitting and taking a simpler approach crossed my mind more than once. But the feeling I got watching everything come up successfully today made every headache, late night and missed gym session worth it.
If there's something you want, set your sights on whatever that is and pour every ounce of heart and soul you have into it, you won't regret it!
