Censoring ordinals and high fee transactions. He allegedly confirmed it in person, he liked a tweet saying so, and people tracking the pool confirmed it. It's aa huge loss of profit for miners. I don't see how this encourages decentralization or censorship resistance. π€·π»ββοΈ
Read Ocean censors the blockchain, explicitly. Lmao. Okay. Today it's data they don't like in the form of ordinals, tomorrow it's your transaction if you have the wrong opinion.
π€£π€£ did you just dox nostr:npub14j7y6l7kprs8azvq7z7r02qu2ah3wysy70p53yvl79epwhs970mqrqantz or ppl know thatβs her name ?
She doxxes me all the time. No opsec.
Yeah I read their docs. Promising ideas, slightly better set up, improvements coming next year. I think they oversold it so everyone was expecting something different. Good pool. I haven't been able to afford to mine Bitcoin since 2010 lol.
Looks like a difference currently is payment from protocol instead of an internal wallet and therefore can skip kyc. That's a good feature. I'll be interested in what they do with lightning. More pools is good.
In the future it seems.
I did see that so maybe next year there will be more participation opportunities.
Okay I didn't know genuinely, but couldn't figure out what was special about it. Mining won't ever be broadly decentralizied because it's expensive. Either you're big baller or your a super enthusiast, most of the world isn't these things.
How does seeing this change the process or make it more decentralized?
How is it different from other pools? Other than 2 months without fees.
I love y'all, but Bitcoin is like tech Amish. Jack clones everywhere π

The core of it's design is set. The idea of blockchain isn't, building on top of it isn't, the spirit of peer to peer isn't.
I've never known any inventor in history to make a thing and say that's it, that's the end of innovation. Model T, yep that's the last thing with wheels and an engine, it's perfect. Satoshi didn't bring the white paper down from the mountain in stone tablets. They didn't say this is the end of things. Don't blind yourself and bind your feet for the sake of purity. There are a lot of things going on out here and a lot of people trying to build the decentralized, independent, and voluntary world. Open your hearts and minds and see how far humanity can go. π€π
Idk who needs to hear this, but you don't really need marketers until your product is fully ship ready when your product is also service. Signed an executive marketing director.
Energy fits here π
Gm #artstr

You're generally pretty hip π€
Getting a lot of comments that basically say all the issues and suggestions people have are for clients, not nostr and this mentality is a block. Nostr is just a bunch of nodes sitting in the dark without clients. User interaction with the protocol is all that matters after you have the protocol set up and a network of relays. That's the foundation and it's great. (This is mirrored in Bitcoin, same mental block) making your clients useable and useful is everything, especially social apps which are a jump off point to everything else. You have all built a great beginning and I want to see it succeed. Marketing is easy. Making a product people will use is hard.
