Vielleicht liegt das Problem einfach in der Annahme, dass Liquid die selben Eigenschaften wie der Baselayer hat – das ist jedoch weder bei Liquid noch Lightning der Fall und liegt in der Natur einer Layer-Architektur, bei der die Schichten unterschiedliche Tradeoffs eingehen, um verschiedene Anwendungsfälle zu unterstützen.

Konkret auf Liquid bezogen: Dort ist von Zensurresistenz ja nicht die Rede – alleine durch die Governance-Struktur, bei der ein Gremium/Föderationsmitglieder neue Blöcke erstellt ist ja klar, dass es sich eher um eine permissioned Umgebung handelt. Zwar versucht man das etwas abzuschwächen, indem mam sagt die Mitglieder sind geografisch verteilt und geopolitisch unterschiedlich aufgestellt – das ändert aber ja nichts daran, dass das alles dennoch regulierte Entitäten sind, die sich im Zweifelsfall auch Anordnungen beugen müssten.

Bevor das zu einseitig negativ klingt: der Punkt ist vor allem, dass man den genutzen Layer und seine Eigenschaften verstehen sollte – das alles hat Pros und Cons und es ist am Ende sogar gut, wenn es eine Vielzahl von verschiedenen Optionen gibt, aus denen man je nach Bedarf wählen kann.

I agree with that, yet people still shy away too much because it's not as easy to use as more centralized solutions. Similar to how people feel the hurdle of running their own node is still too much.

Jam and Joininbox are great tools though and hopefully will help improve adoption.

Bin ich bei dir, vermute aber der Grund dafür ist eher, dass er noch nicht komplett erkannt hat, wie vergurkt das ganze System ist. Ich verstehe, dass man da dann anschlußfähig bleiben möchte – vor allem als mittelständischer Unternehmer.

Sobald man dann – nach längerem schmerzhaften Lernen – begriffen hat, dass es wenig dazwischen gibt und dass dieses System und die Probleme sich nicht mit den angestrebten Lösungen vertragen, wird man deutlicher, weil es nichts mehr zu verlieren gibt.
