I took two employees out to lunch today and mentioned I was working on my Bitcoin Node.
That opened the flood gates with #bitcoin questions. We spent the next hour discussing Bitcoin. I even showed them how easy it is to purchase, cold wallet, hot wallets, multi-sig wallet, scarcity, shitcoins.

All of this conversation stemmed from me making one simple comment.
I love talking about Bitcoin.
I don’t know anything about tether, but this isn’t a good look for the people utilizing it.

I find Bitcoin stories fascinating so I want to share mine:
2012 I started what I thought was my going to be my dream career. Started as a supervisor with hopes of working extremely hard and moving up the company ladder. 2013 I promoted to managing my own location. 2014 I promoted again to another larger location. Each location making more money but not feeling like it made any difference in what I had in the bank. My lifestyle hadn’t changed much. This is where I started to have initial thoughts that all of this was for nothing.
Worked there until 2018. 60 hours at the office and on call 24/7, I was given the ultimatum to fight for my job, or resign. I decided to resign. This changed my outlook on business dramatically. 2019-2020 random job.
2020 I found a job making 15k more than I had ever made and still… something felt off as my lifestyle hadn’t changed, but still no real savings outside of 401k.
I started to think about stocks, bought books on investing in stocks, etc. typical shit that people do.

I followed him on YouTube and he started to talk about his conviction in Bitcoin. It fascinated me that this man was so convicted in bitcoin that he had made a HUGE change in his strategy, so I started researching Bitcoin. Found nostr:npub1gdu7w6l6w65qhrdeaf6eyywepwe7v7ezqtugsrxy7hl7ypjsvxksd76nak “The Bitcoin Standard”.
My eyes were opened to a way of life that could legitimately change the world. True sovereignty, hope, anti-theft, and last but not least, a way out of this rigged system that we live in.
My conviction for Bitcoin isn’t just for me. Of course I want it to go up and restore the time that has been stolen from me, but I wholeheartedly want this for humanity. I want a world where the people aren’t stolen from.
Bitcoin changes the world as we know it.

That said, I spend more time trying to get access to view my node via umbrella.local and troubleshooting why it’s not working.
I’m constantly getting “site cannot be reached” errors or restart/shutdown errors that never work.
Frustrated.
One of the hardest things for me to do is spend bitcoin.

“Eh, I’ll try it some other time.”
Every. Single. Time.
I came to the realization that holding #bitcoin is better than holding real estate about a year ago.
Since I became a bitcoiner, all I see is energy.
Real estate: Insurance, expensive repairs, maintenance, cleaning, tax inflation, credit fees.
Bitcoin: trade fiat for Bitcoin and hodl.
So much time and energy saved.

It’s worrisome to me that if we build, the companies that own our devices can simply turn off access to apps that people use.
We need decentralized internet and phone systems that cannot be manipulated by big tech.
Take wallet of Satoshi for example.
It would be great to use Apple Pay with my strike balance.
If all I have is bitcoin, use Apple Pay and it automatically convert my Bitcoin into fiat for the merchant I’m paying if they don’t accept Bitcoin.
I’m trying to get business owners to use strike to get away from the 3% charges that credit card companies take from businesses. The problem I’m running into, is that many people in America don’t use strike as much as I’d like to see.
It makes absolutely no sense to me that people are buying “Gold” and then never really owning the gold. You never actually get gold correct?
It’s like going back to landline phones when we now have cellular phones.
