You know, if you store the majority of your Bitcoin in a multisig cold storage set up, it's such a mission to sell it.

I guess when you get to that point, you actually understand what this asset is and realise why selling is a bad idea.

*not to be confused with spending sats with Aqua and Lightning wallets or various other things like Nostr*

I'm a MTB skills coach (see profile photo) and an artist (painter). Also a graphic artist plus I teach people about Bitcoin - especially self custody...

Recently started working with a dev to create some interesting bitcoin applications.

Seems like I didn't grow up and really love what I do.

PS. I studied mechanical engineering 🤣

I *am* anti-fruit, because there are an insane number of "health influencers" out there that still promote it as healthy, which is nonsense and is keeping countless truth-seekers from reaching their maximum health potential.

NONE of the fruit on Earth today is natural. Even the most organic, farmer's market-bought fruit is the manmade result of hundreds of generations of farmers selectively breeding the biggest and sugariest of the crop, so they could sell more product.

Even putting the human aspect aside, from a strictly nature-focused perspective, these fruit-producing trees/bushes never existed to create health food for humans. They produce fruit so they can reproduce by SPREADING THEIR SEEDS; the reason they include some sugar in the fruit is to entice other animals to eat it so they can shit later and voila, seeds spread. These plants do not care about your health, they USE other animals to achieve their natural goal of reproduction. (And by the way, in nature, this seed-dispersion phase of a plant's annual cycle is supposed to last 2-3 weeks between fall and winter ONLY, but humans have completely ruined this process as well so they can feed their sugar addiction year-round)

King idiots like Ray Peat #peatstr—the God figure and origin of this entire resurgence of fruit & honey influencers we see on social media today—don't understand that nature is an adversarial warzone, and humans are NOT special within it. By trying to outsmart it and take over/manipulate the system like we love to do with everything, we only damage ourselves. (Here's a fun game: try to find a single picture in existence of Ray Peat with his mouth open, or any of his teeth showing. You won't, because his teeth are literally rotted out of his skull from all the sugar he ate, and told all of his cult followers to eat 🤡)

To graduate from this very sticky "animal-based" (translation: second-best) diet level, take the dive into the resources below, and please share them around next time you see someone on the internet claiming to be a health expert trying to convince you that fruit is anything more than a piece of candy with no bioavailable nutrients, and indigestible fiber clumped around it 👇

When you eat fruit, your liver basically has to deal with all that fructose on its own. Glucose is managed by the entire body.

I've done everything except point no. 2 and 6...

I've been painting since I was 5yo so I don't recall my inspiration at the time. I think the childlike creative within never grew up.

But I'm going to try the left handed approach and see what happens.

Thankful to you Jeff. Your explanations of why fiat is collapsing is the best I've heard. Is like to read 'The Price of Tomorrow' next!

Yeah it sucks and is excellent at the same time!

BTW, I see you make jerky. The South African version - called biltong - is the best in the world. We eat it often. 😋

A weakness I've found in myself recently, as a correlation to my bitcoin-fostered frugality:

The temptation to make sub-optimal, short-term-pleasure-oriented decisions is much greater when said action is FREE, versus when it costs money. Sounds obvious I know, but hear out my elaboration.

A perfect example of this is the availability of carbs while on the #CarnivoreDiet.

It is SO easy, to the point of being automatic, for me to turn down carbs when I have to BUY them, no matter how cheap they are.

But when they are available for free, the temptation instantly becomes 5x greater. I have that inner value-seeker inside of me saying "Look at this amazing deal! It's FREE!!!" Just earlier today some friends in my hostel ordered a giant cheese pizza and offered me a couple slices. NGL it was painful to say no since I'm fasting right now and it looked so, so good. I saw the box just sitting there on the free shelf for 2 hours afterward and it made it significantly harder to focus on my work 🤣

...But there's literally a pizza place 2 buildings down from me where I could get all the pizza I wanted for just a couple bucks, and I have ZERO temptation to do that because of the MINISCULE amount of financial resistance between me and that vice.

Has anyone else noticed this same goofy mental trait in themselves, where their inner value-seeker creates an irrationally-large temptation difference when a high-time-preference indulgence is free as opposed to dirt cheap? #AskNostr

It's become much easier for me since I now become physically sick for days if I eat carbs - even free ones. But yes, in fee early days, going to a friend's party and avoiding everything set out was difficult.

Awesome.

I've adjusted blue light out of my TV through the colour temperature settings. Plus use phone apps which do the same.

Unsure if it's completely effective but it has helped me improve my sleep considerably.

Yup. After I starting eating a carnivore diet 2 years ago, I began to also drink raw milk. It's changed my life.

If I try pasteurized milk again, my eczema and acne returns along with severe gut discomfort. Symptoms worse than my previous lactose intolerance.
