What people complaining about lightning fees (eg channel opening or LSP) forget is that the current credit card system has much higher, completely intransparent fees while providing 10x worse user experience.

New to Nostr. Looking for new connections, and possibly people that can tell me a bit more about how this all works!

Early morning river crossing to head to town for materials restock. Snagged this photo from the seat of the cataraft just as the sun rose over the peaks of the mountain. #homestead #river #sunrise #mountains

Short story:

- 20 years ago I traveled to this river for whitewater kayaking and fell in love with the river and the culture.

- 2 years ago, I got a chance to buy the dream plot of land in the best location on the river and I pulled the trigger.

- Present day, Currently spending 6 months a year working remote here and building a home base for me and my family/friends.

I'll try and document the process here and keep updating as we build.
