If the market doesn’t absorb excessively issues US Treasuries, who is the buyer of last resort?

Central banks, in general. And the Federal Reserve, specifically.

The central bank cartel was established primarily to allow their governments to borrow and spend without limits.

The loser is citizens who are forced to use government fiat currencies, as their purchasing power is the ultimate source of this unlimited Treasury issuance and government spending.

This year's investor letter from Stone Ridge did not disappoint. Ross Stevens is one of the brightest minds in the space and his humility is unmatched.

While everyone is focused on the bitcoin backed lending part of the letter (which is extremely exciting in its own right), I haven't seen anyone point out the message underlying the entire letter; Stone Ridge + NYDIG + other Stone Ridge subsidiaries are setting out to rethink how banking as an industry should work from the ground up.

Because it’s not as bad as they thought. There will be difficult days but Praise God I am going to get through it. 2 no. Because it's not really an option for now. I could. But I would have to endure a tax event every time I buy something if the fiat value of the BTC is up, which it is by a lot!

So, if I don't want to part with my BTC for no reason, I have no choice but to wait for legislation to change or to go to a more crypto-friendly place, which is not in the family plans for now.
