Why Elon Musk always talks like as if he's balancing a candy on his tongue he doesn't want to swallow?

#asknostr #question

Don't get me wrong, it's just the usual practice here if you ask for a little zap you get ghosted, but if you are funded by the hrf and ask to pay for dinner bills you have a better chance! There you go here's my zap to get you going and prove myself wrong. โšก

You ask too little. Learn from the best, lol.

Steve Jobs understood more than anyone that selling a product is not the same as using it. In the video he's making fun of the UI of the competitor's software because it is not as sexy as Apple's. Due to a missed opportunity of showing how fast can gettin' shit done with software which was meant to be used instead to be sold an avalanche of garbage UI flooded the market in the upcoming decades. 99.9% of software's UI I had the "pleasure" to work with revolved around a single pointer and a single button ignoring the fact that the average human has two hands and ten fingers and sitting in front of 100+ buttons. Not even Microsoft could utilise or popularize this who had productivity on their flag almost forever. The resistance of the foss and coding community hardly found its way to mainstream. Also as if the keyboard shortcuts was specifically designed to steer the use back to use the mouse so mice started to have more buttons. Those ten buttons only more valuable if I happen to hold the mouse for at this point I have no choice. Why are we getting punished for trying to work and produce faster? Focus grabbing, blocking popup windows, pull-down menu hell even on hovering... Ever had that feeling on some websites as if walking on a minefield? You need to carefully watch where the place the mouse not to get distracted or enter unwanted input? Remember the folks who couldn't perform a double-click without moving the mouse so they ended up drag-n-drop copy-rename some file? Xbox trying to motioncapture your hand when Mario jumps never mind the perfect input device exists since hundreds of years called a button? "Very intuitive user experience" to quote Steve from the video. Distraction is a shitcoin. Mouse is a shitcoin. Let me #work. Don't break my #flow. End of #rant

The other day when I watched some AI generated animation it got me thinking. The animation does look like every single frame is individually generated which makes sense just like in the golden days of animated film. Right now it takes plenty of time to create such animation especially on consumer electronics. But when it becomes so fast that the rendering of each frame can happen real-time the results can be pretty crazy. Imagine if one develops an input device that is scanning your eyes, face, posture, voice, biometrics, etc. and provides it to the image generator making an instant feedback loop between the animation and how you react to it. This could picture anything from your deepest fears to best desires and back. Would it be the future of netflix, the next breakthrough in cognitive science or banned instantly as a torture device? One echo-chamber for each of us. How does it affect your thinking if its fueled by itself? It's like eating our own shit and expect to grow strong, healthy and flourish.

Pick any group or interrest that is large enough and you'll find the same composition of different kinds of people. NPCs, scammers, criminals, silent geniuses, teachers, builders, opportunistic assholes etc. you get the point. Substitute the b-word with star-wars, philosophy, motorcycles, parenting, cosplay, flightsim whatever and your post funnily enough still mostly valid. This is applied tribalism, you're just happen to be in the bitxoin cave (on its birthday... ๐Ÿ˜…)

The message is spot on even though I almost threw up by the affecting voice of the narrator.

***** #Rant And #Complaints About #Nostr So Far *****

So I'm a forum/reddit type of person. I'm not into following fucking 'people' or celebrities. It's retarded.

Like, I don't care about some dumb thought you post that you think is inspirational or clever. Or basically pretty much everything that's on nostr, with all honesty.

I don't understand the appeal to the Twitter layout. I don't. It's a firehouse of random shit. No categories , no topics, I don't get that. I'm going to social media because I'm interested in looking at my interests.

Osint, clothes, reddit alternatives, social media, pet care, hair care etc

Where the fuck am I supposed to look? Just shift through a bunch of bullshit? Oh, wait, a hashtag right?

Yea well guess what? That doesn't solve shit. Here's why.

When I'm on reddit in the makeup sub, I GO DIRECTLY TO THE MAKEUP SUB. THING IS, THERE ARE NO SUBS FOR MAKEUP HERE.

I can filter by MULTIPLE words inreddit. Not just by ONE.

When I'm lookin for eyeliner brushes, I can type that in and find all the posts and comments seperated for each and with the words highlighted.

You can't do that here. I would have to look for #eyeliner #makeup #brushes separately.

That's just an example. Do you see what I'm saying here?

Do you see the problem? Yes there are communities, but no one is using them because they are optional.

Why can't words that are hashtaged be automatically populated into those communities? They would group together into the communituy but also still show in the feed.

So if you come here looking for something, you don't have to search for it.

It's not the extra effort that pisses me off. What makes me irritated is, you can't find what you want to see in an efficient way, that makes sense, is organized and isn't cluttered.

Shits all over the place. Also, with reddit and internet forums, your interests are actually fucking there. And seperated for you, FOR YOU TO FIND. Making it easy to contribute in the right sub. That's what you go there for.

โ—โ—โ— But this is a blogging platform. So the fuck is nostr ever going to have communities that operate like forums? โ—โ—โ—

People arnt here for their interests or to contribute to any. They're here to BLOG, post pictures of what they are having for dinner, say something random, or obsess about fucking Bitcoin.

It's like, built for people to talk about themselves and pretty much post about whatever they want THAT ISN'T TOPIC BASED.

In closing.

I'm sorry I complained this much. I know posts on the internet when someone bitches is really fucking annoying. If I was a developer and had that knowledge and skill set. I would fix nostr myself. But I can't.

Anyway, thank you for reading. I know I complain about this alot.

Luckily most of your concerns are about clients and not about the protocol. The good news is with more and more people coming new clients will emerge all in different flavors. There are discussions about imdb clone, OF clone, etc. Most clients right now are twitter clones. So what? Supply will meet demand because profit.

Second, you complain about the dinner photos, blog posts and endless talk about bitcoin. Welcome to the permissionless internet. Everyone(!) has a voice here. One cannot get banned from nostr. Say it out loud. Instead of being annoyed try to appreciate the implications (good and bad) of this innovation.

Third, it's not true that you have to know coding in order to change nostr. Grab a pen and sketch it on paper how your dream client would look like. Have you seen the NIPs? They are mostly in plain english. Being hostile and insulting others is probably not the best way of getting your ideas through.
