Okay, let's see if I've managed to kick ReplyGuy from my relay, and whether I messed anything else in the process....

We have user data being processed for personalized leverage-based ads, and we have user data being processed to train AI so it "gets to know you better".

For what other purposes have people given away rights to their data that have spectacularly backfired, perhaps even unbeknownst to them as seems to be the case with most examples?

Heres how i got rid of reply guy in amythest (with screenshots)

Caveat emptor: this is a semi temporary fix because if he switches relays, I have to redo all this. It can become whackamole. But it's also easy and quick once you learn it.

1. Check any of reply guy's notes. See that little badge thing? Click it.

2. This will give you a clue as to which relay reply guy is connected to. In this case it's 0xtr relay. Sorry nostr:npub1ktt8phjnkfmfrsxrgqpztdjuxk3x6psf80xyray0l3c7pyrln49qhkyhz0 i dont mean to put you on blast, they just happen to be spamming on your relay right now.

3. Go to your relay list. (Click your pic top left and click relay) uncheck all the things to disconnect from the relay (or hit the red x to delete it outright). Don't forget to hit save.

Before 👇🏾

After 👇🏾

4. Make sure to repeat these steps for every relay you found in step 1. In my case we only had one common relay. You might have more or different ones. Unless reply guy changes relays, all spam shld be gone. See! 👇🏾

5. For good measure, I noted "test 2" then I turned the relay back on. Summoned reply guy, then turned it off again and posted goodbye. So far so good.

If you're on Amethyst, just check their relays on their profile.

Now we're getting it.

Normalize Tor, this is the way.

Incorrect.

Lightning can be used by any two peers, peer to peer.

It's the reliance of one or both of those peers on centralized institutions/hops/third-parties/regulations that creates a pitfall for them.

You're only made to follow mandated regulations if you're a known and centralized, entity with a general business stake in fiat.

If I run behind tor, provide liquidity, and as the protocol evolves continue to push for privacy and decentralization in my own services, no one can stop me.
