The PNGs and GIFs I embed in these nostr notes are just like the NFTs on crypto. Pointers to the files being hosted on some other centralized platform. I expect at some point in the future these files will get deleted and my historic feed will look like shit lol.

Without proof of work, there’s no guarantee that your transaction on the blockchain won’t be rolled back by its rulers. POW allows for a truly trustless system and that is the innovation.
I pay for it to be able to post the longer HD videos…I just consider it to be a business expense though.

And, by the way, the light we are seeing has only traveled a little over 13 billion light years. 46 billion light years is how far away the edge is now, after the Universe has expanded in that 13 billion years. It’s amazing the things we can build when we put our top engineers together and give them essentially unlimited resources. JWST ended up costing $10 billion. 😳
I didn’t work for NASA back then haha. I worked there while New Horizons was passing by Pluto though giving us our first close up shots of it. Was pretty crazy being one of the first people in the world to see these images.

Bad dream last night. Was driving on the highway and started hearing a screeching metal sound coming from all around the car, pulled over and saw that all my tires had been shredded and my rims were all bent up. First thing I thought was “fuck…that’s going to cost a lot of sats…”
I’m just gonna kick that can down the road for now. By the end, it’d probably just look like a smooth gradient of blue with less clearly defined boundaries between epochs.
Works either way for me.
I wish I could make bitcoin graphics and animations all day every day but working in the fiat mines nets me the most amount of sats and I’m not anywhere near my stacking goal. Maybe in another cycle or two I’ll be there. Until then, just gonna keep grinding.
