I think one of the most positive impacts that tech can have on society in 2024 is proof of personhood and content provenance, enabled by blockchains with open ID/content protocols, enhanced by responsible AI.

More people are learning what ownership really is.

To determine ownership, people can run a thought experiment. What would happen if:

- someone were to stop paying property taxes

- someone were to stop paying on their loan

- someone were to stop paying for their subscription

- someone were to try to transfer it

- a managing company went out of business

- an organization changed the value of the item

One solution to help people with ownership is decentralized, permissionless, open source tech with immutability and shared incentives.
