Think it also mighta been cool to define simply what isomorphisms are (generally, and then of groups, and fields in particular), and then bring it back to this group group of remainders/cosets (represented by sets of numbers) as a canonical representation, if that makes sense. My two ϟ 🤷‍♂️

I like what you guys are doing with this. I have some feedback on a few things, but a bit lazy to write them up. One small note though, in the convsersation about fields represented as equivalence classes (remainders), someone said something like “0 is not in the field,” and just wanna point out that it is. My autism had to post this, sorry 😅

Nice. I’ve seen a lot of the basic number theory several times, so may be a bit too much review, though I’m sure there’s plenty I could learn. Will put virtual bookmark on it.

By the way, since it seems we share an interest, do you have any forums or whatnot you’ve found for discussion about cryptography? I haven’t really looked around yet, as I suspect any I’d find are likely so advanced they’re useless, but maybe I’m mistaken. Would be cool if nostr had a lil corner of that
