the trouble with a lot of this media is that it is often "outdated" in its wokeness when you watch it. For example, star trek the originals had an interracial kiss, which wouldn't strike later watchers as odd. Harry Potter had the girl being the best at magic (because she studied harder), which was commonly accepted by our time. It had the "blood purists" as over-the-top bad guys, also par for the woke course. Harry Potter put a lot of ideas in young kids brains, most predominantly the "witches were unjustly persecuted" idea. So Harry Potter -> devil worship pipeline isn't that far off, even if based bigbrain racists didn't fall for it.

wlel that's why grown men who liked things that were childish were looked upon with suspicion and at least scorn in a time gone by.
