I think understanding the history of money in general is really important to understanding bitcoin and that’s what the book does. Understanding also how bad money affects almost everything around us including Art (which most people think is off topic in the book) is also really important.
The Bitcoin Standard is so often recommended as something you should use to explain Bitcoin to a loved one or friend that’s interested. I love Bitcoin but it’s probably the worst way I can imagine to Orange Pill someone. Way too many opinions that have nothing to do with Bitcoin.
The Price of Tomorrow by nostr:npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe is great. Just a clear description of the situation.
Bitcoin is Venice is also great, explains multiple times why Bitcoin is different from other coins.
I will say stock-to-flow was a great way to explain Bitcoin’s uniqueness but the rest of the book will turn a lot of people off.
It was one of the first great bitcoin books and it's content is very unique. To be honest don't think it was written for the exact intent of orange pilling either.
