Out of curiosity, who designed NIP-94, and was it intended mainly for specific use cases outside of social network (like e-commerce or something)?
If it was intended to be used on regular social network clients, i’d argue the NIP itself does a poor job of considering backwards compatibility, especially since it involves a core feature like image sharing.
