Girls At Our Best - Pleasure
Leeds band, fronted by women, that wrote great slightly off kilter pop songs and had a not very traditional sounding punk singer, sounds like she should be singing ..folk or something? It's a real soprano haha. This record and all the singles are classics. I have an OG and most of the singles and missed the awesome Optic Nerve 2LP set that was reissued awhile ago. THERE'S AN AWESOME LOCKED GROOVE ON SIDE 1 my fave locked groove ofall time #2000Records
that was a very odd last 'fuck you' to me. it made me think of Brel's Jackie where he's like if I could be just for an hour "cute cute - in a stupid ass way". i would love to be a stupid party favor. I would love to be YOUR stupid party favor.

Prince - Sign O The Times
I bought that giant 11 LP box set or whatever and....Prince rolls over in his grave, but I think his record company was right not to release the 3LP Crystal Ball. I think this is a perfect 2 records. (The 1999 box set I think had much better unheard treasures). I can't believe he had "I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man" in his pocket since 1979 wtf that song rules. Even when the Goo Goo Dolls do it. "Adore" is supernatural! #2000Records
