paging nostr:npub1df0nthpgzfmvxrzj0cfypmmt45l0y770j260auqhm3l45hp3uhkqx27gmw , did I interpret the "instance_timeline_public" setting correctly, in that it allows public timeline to be visible without logging in?
アノニマスの見解 Mitra has now been updated to v1.35.0
As of this version, the public timeline of the instance can now be set as visible to public users (it is), and the instance admin can be set as visible (it is)
nostr:npub1ftj3tmr44tdzs93e0hdgfnrrct9pu2e8haylzuatm2tkfwdaudds27pjju I'm still leaning into a second theory that they wanted to expand Unity's telemetry and make it more invasive, and intentionally leaned into this stupid revenue plan to start a garbage fire so big it would overshadow the telemetry itself.
Then when they "apologize" and roll back the payment plan, the telemetry that would have enabled it stays in and everybody's too busy high-fiving each other to pay attention or care.
But I may be overthinking this.
This weekend, Streaming Saturday is doing something a little different. We'll be running through an under-construction Dark Mod level as we work in DarkRadiant to complete it. Not as exciting as a proper game, but decided more chill and laidback.
"Let's Make: DarkRadiant/Dark Mod Build Stream" is this Saturday, September 16th, at 8:30pm JST, only on PeerTube.
(...or for other time zones: https://everytimezone.com/s/3af0d19e)
Why would Unity charge a dev for every time a third party installs/uninstalls their Unity game, though? Thay doesn't even make corpo-greed sense, that's just pointless. By that metric, you'd actually not want to be successful at all. You're financially better off not releasing a Unity game at all.
The DarkRadiant build stream idea is already paying dividends. Since I don't want to do map work that would take material away from stream day, I'm forced to spend my small handfuls of free time doing other scripting work.
I've already figured out how to properly implement video briefings, made a custom video briefing, a diagetic map of the target building for in-game use, and tweaked custom menus. If we can actually wrap up the bulk of the map work this Saturday, I could have a finished fan mission ready for testing inside of the month.
"Streaming Saturday: S.T.A.L.K.E.R Anomaly, Part 11 - the VOD!" is now available on Odysee:
nostr:npub1hf5c3xf2hxj28p2afgl3cnn4ftcphswn5vwn0p2nyu94kzyka6asflpc2h I think I have one, with an artifact in it, somewhere in one of the storage boxes. I just never have armor with an artifact slot on it. Not yet, anyway.
I found a Pippa playermodel in the GMod Workshop, but there's aren't any even halfway decent Walmart maps
well there's free time well spent

I am sad to report that Bitrefill has become a shell of its former self. It used to be a good option for buying prepaid cards and such for BTC, but on my latest exploratory use of it left a very sour taste in my mouth when I was informed that certain cards were "not available for VPN users".
Punishing privacy protection and encouraging commercial/financial surveillance is the mark of the Enemy, and should never be encouraged or rewarded. Fortunately, an alternative exists. CoinGate not only offers the same cards, it doesn't ask any annoying fucking questions and it lets you use GuerrillaMail for checkout (for now, at least). So my friendship with Bitrefill is canceled, CoinGate is my new best friend.
My plans to stream from the event floor were foiled by the most predictable of issues...network is so shit, it drops the strsam every handful of seconds. "PeerTube Live" app doesn't support persistent livestreams, so its basically impossible under these conditions.

nostr:npub1hrk5tzp98x0ckaf4hhyjm7l0r35fpu3658plf3gu059ghs8ufe7qh53nzn PayPal froze their account and asked them to explain where the money was coming from. They pointed at their project donation page, which included crypto information on it. Presumably, this made PayPal freak out more and now their account has been zeroed, along with all the money in it
nostr:npub1ftj3tmr44tdzs93e0hdgfnrrct9pu2e8haylzuatm2tkfwdaudds27pjju I can only speak to my own experience, but I'm still enjoying myself here. Still, thanks to mostr I guess we can both have our cake.
Guess Gleason is good for something after all.
