So, has anybody else experienced or heard of attempted fraudulent bank charges from a company called "Respontika"? I've heard anecdotally that banks have been dealing with these by the thousands over the past month or two.
From what I could see, Respontika is some online scam offering personality tests/online horoscopes. The normal scam is they charge a dollar for their "service", then attempt to pull anywhere from $15 to $40 after the fact and hope they get away with it.
But the stories I'm now hearing are that people who had nothing to do with Respontika, who never signed up for their shitty online personality test, are also getting hit with the same effects. First a one dollar transaction that slips the net, and then an attempted charge of $40 that recently is getting flagged as fraudulent by default.
Looking into Respontika as a legal entity, they're registered in Delaware (though not as an LLC, so I don't know how anonymous it is). But it seems weird to me that the bank fraud behaviour is extending to completely unrelated people who haven't touched their shitty website.

So idk if it's just me or if this is happening to others, but Monero p2pool has been behaving oddly since earlier this week. The PPLNS window used to be something like 6 hours, but now suddenly it's dropped down to 1 or 2 hours... this is what p2pool main chain used to be.
I've confirmed via status output that I am indeed running on mini, not main, but p2pool is now behaving as thought it's on main. I used to reliably get several shares per day, even if they didn't always turn into payouts. Now it's been like a week with nothing... again, just like main chain used to be.
I've tried restarting the p2pool process, even rebooting the whole machine, but no change. I might have to blow out the entire container and re-create it just to see if that changes anything, but I feel like this shouldn't be happening.

Cyber Knights Flashpoint Update:
Richard Stallman is the unluckiest man alive... every heist he goes on, stray bullets and pissed off security guards always hone in on his fat ass and he ends up in the Triage center for a week after the job is done.
I gave him a break by sending him on a Legwork job to help give an underworld club some street cred by hanging out there, and he came back a party addict and I had to give him a pay raise to cover his extravagant new lifestyle.
Meanwhile, a Syndicate gang boss pissed off at our antics decided to sic a bounty hunter on us, who popped up in the middle of a stealth hacking job. I'm sure he thought he was a real badass, but instead of taking us out or posing any threat, he just ended up fighting the local security forces instead of us, creating the perfect distraction to let us finish the job and get away scott free, getting cut to shreds in the process. The whole affair was so embarrassing that the Syndicate boss who paid for all this actually suffered an Exposure Limit Break and lost a huge chunk of clout, and his position in the underworld is now precarious. Meanwhile, the hacker known as 4chan and his special needs gang are rolling in money, that will immediately go to a new hacker haven and a new 3d gun printer.

I've been doing a little digging into Unifans, and while I agree it has a lot going for it, I have a number of questions about them that remain unanswered.
Finding corporate information about Unifans took some doing, since the site doesn't have anything provided up front. Pulling up WHOIS records on their domain, and the Developer Profile on their iOS app, revealed that the company behind it is "1000353701 Ontario Inc", an otherwise unnamed private corporation referred to by its Corporation Number in the registry, in this case registered in Ontario, Canada.
Dun and Bradstreet also has an entry on the company that lists a Mr. Bing Li as the President and Director of the Board. Trying to search for "Bing Li" in Ontario turned up so many results, it'd be difficult to pin down any one as our man, everything from a PhD level geologist to a couple of investment bankers and more.
None of this is necessarily sinister, but I am very curious about how 1000353701 Ontario Inc can operate Unifans out of Canada while also collecting almost zero information from fans or creators. IANAL, but a brief lookup of KYC/AML laws in Canada makes me think it'd fall under "E-Commerce with Age-Regulated Sales" for any R34 stuff (the example they cite is alcohol, but I think Canada's draconian policies for drawings would apply here).
As things stand, it's perfectly possible for both fans and creators to access the site via VPN, use pseudonyms, pay/withdraw in USDT, and walk away with no paper trail. For the record, I think this is a good thing... I just wonder how the company can have done this since 2022 without any legal repercussions. I'd need to hear from an actual lawyer on this, though, there may be loopholes I'm unaware of.
Right now, though, I'd say hell yeah, use it if you can. Just make sure you're behind 7 Boxxies when you do, and have a backup plan in case they get the banhammer at some point.

The more I actually try to use Bitcoin Lightning, the more I hate it. I just want to send and receive digital shekels. All of this shit about channels, inbound/outbound liquidity, etc is a pain in the ass and gets between me and what I want. The fact that channels can arbitrarily get closed, leaving money in limbo for days is even more shit.
AlbyHub closed a new channel I opened after 13 fucking minutes... now I need to fund another one if I want my wallet to work, but I can't the funds in AlbyHub because they're too few and stuck in closed channels anyway.
I have an embedded node Zeus wallet on a phone with enough sats to do the job, but oh no! The channel's stuck as Inactive, and even if it does activate properly, there's too many zombie channels so any attempt at payment times out and goes nowhere.
I won't pretend Monero hasn't given me headaches and borderline heart attacks in the past, but it's got nothing on this Lightning shit. When it works well it works well, but just one piece out of alignment and it all goes to shit. Lightning fucking sucks, and I'm not willing to pretend it doesn't.
