Welcome to nostr Erik! I hope to visit New Zeleand one day, looks amazing!

lol good times #[0]

I beleive Semisol also hosted one of the default relays on Branle

LOOOL, that was faster than expected!

brb, going to make a relay where all events are queued up for approval before storing them to the DB😅

That really sucks but it still doesn’t have anything to do with censorship resistance or free speech. If one relay blocks you, you’re not blocked from nostr. You’re blocked from someone elses DB.

I also had some problems with DMs and posting notes yesterday after the Damus surge, you sure it wasn’t just that? I haven’t seen what your friend wrote about it.

relay operators still have the oppertunity to delete DMs from the relay DB

nostr isn’t less censorship resistant just because some relay operator can deny your pubkey access to the relay. You can host your own relay or broadcast your events to someone that is likeminded. If people are interested in what you write about, they’ll subscribe.

Most relays probably won’t but they still have the rights to do whatever they want with it. You should find relays you trust to host your notes or host them yourself.

huh? Relay owners have full ownership of whatever is stored on their relay. If they don’t like something, they can remove it. You can post whatever you want to your own relay and if you make it public, anyone can subscribe to it.

Relays removing content they don’t like is not censorship resistance.

how huge is that monitor tho??

Sounds like a fun book, ordered!

Congrats Will!
