HA! Finally banned on Facebook! But not for reasons that would win me Cool Guy Internet Points™️. One of my old FB Pages got a strike from their automated systems (reasons unknown, haven't used the page in years), which triggered an automated suspension of my business's Instagram account, which triggered an automated suspension of my personal FB account. I managed to get my business Instagram account back, but my FB account is still suspended. After seeing a zillion Reddit posts from people experiencing the exact same thing I decided to email FB's support desk, but my fingers aren't crossed. My 16-ish year old account (yup, OG FB user here) will probably be gone the way of the fax machine 🤷♂️

Adjusted for inflation from 1960, having a private telephone line installed at your farm 40KM from the switchboard (also assuming you're already on the party line) would have been about $16,000 to $32,000 depending on the difficulty of the run.
Power was similar, though having power on a farm 40KM out of town would have been considered boujee. Having juice installed today is also similar, but considered a necessity. Some jurisdictions actually require it for a building permit, even if you're building off-grid and supplying your own power.
